Thread: Ok whats wrong with this pickture?!!!111
Sorry for the plug but I cant resist as I think it could really help alot of people
For example: Shock Resistance (922-1000): 967

Oh by the way just worry about SR...of course u want hi OQ but SR is more influential. For instance, if I use hideA 891oq/892sr and Hide B 960oq/sr725...Hide A will always gimme better results. There's more to than just worry about SR, I think its a balancing act...I've had luck with it.
This does make sense
, hides are ungated so the range goes from 1-1000 for both quality and sr.
hide A 891+892 = 1783 , /2 = 891
hide B 960+725 = 1685, /2 = 842
so hideA should be a little better if my understanding of how the new crafting scheme works. (edited previous silly error
)
Regarding the vintrium ore you mentioned earlier. The SR gate on vintrium is 922-1000. So a small change in SR makes a big difference in the results. If the SR on your vintrium is anywhere close to 922 it will be rubbish for adv cores. I actually have some vintrium ore with qual 992 and sr 932 and the maximum experimentation is ~50% I think due to the relatively low sr compared to gate.
The new system can really make those previous excellent resources with high gates very poor.
I have 1 million units of what was the best carbonite steel pre CU. quality 963, sr 896. This has gone from a 93% resource to a ~52% resource when used inthenamed carbonite steel slot. Conversely, my 350k units of a worse carb steel with 724 Q, 956 sr has become server best now. CArb steel sr gate is 885-965.

hide A 891+892 = 1783 , /2 = 891
hide B 960+725 = 1685, /2 = 842
so hide b should be a little better if my understanding of how the new crafting scheme works.
If hide isn't gated, why would Hide B be better? 842 < 891
Am I missing something?
From my understanding Hide A would be better, but not because the SR is higher. Because the the average is higher.

Basically that ore sucks!
Vintrium Extrusive Ore: CR 896 - 1000, DR 909 - 1000, HR 922 - 1000, MA 522 - 600, SR 922 - 1000, UT 922 - 1000
928 SR is pretty low. I really hate this gated weighting system. From looking at that ore it should be good stuff!!!!

Lol, yes you are completely right, was a brain fart on my part
I meant to say the one with the higher average which is obviously hide A,mixed the two hides up in my head when I added it up before I posted and then just spouted a rubbish calculation onto the page. Never mind, was at the end of a long day at work when I posted ![]()
i would humbly like to say.
this system is absolutely insane. w']['f ..? gates. hum where in game can people see these? oh i see you have to peruse a huge list found on a geek site somwhere on the net before you have the vaguest clue as to which resource is better. and ultimately the armor experimentation system is laughable. 4 points left over after final experimentation. hum surely that cant be intended.
"i got a great idea"
"shoot"
"lets make armor crafting only need 8 points, and lets also hide some statistics from these crafters"
"thats insane, lets do it"
"woohoo! do i get a payrise?"
