Thread: Ok whats wrong with this pickture?!!!111
your probably right...
Thing is I fine tuned my resources to hit 84% and this one thing is hiding another 6+% min!!
Tehre 41 now I figure 50 is cap so I should get 45-46 at least. lol ya Im that picky
Basically that ore sucks!
Vintrium Extrusive Ore: CR 896 - 1000, DR 909 - 1000, HR 922 - 1000, MA 522 - 600, SR 922 - 1000, UT 922 - 1000
928 SR is pretty low. I really hate this gated weighting system. From looking at that ore it should be good stuff!!!!
Let me add that something needs to change here. You can't have people pulling crap out of ground, buying it from miners or from a vendor thinking that it is a good resource when in this case it is total crap.
There simply HAS to be a way IN-GAME of determining if a resource is good or not. Either make it so weighting is calculate based on what the damn game says it is or put in a way of seeing how good a resource is or isn't within the gates.

Thats right!!!
God why did I not snap about 922 = 0 /1000=1000 and mines 928... dang it have to hit back up the resource kits again and look through everyone, SWG craft does not have all the ones on the resource kits list ![]()

Completely agree.
This absolutely forces us to use out of game tools to determine the real quality of a resource, which gives a serious advantage to players who know about those tools.
Oh yeah. Can you imagine the poor people just buying this game.
OQ: 992, SR: 926
OQ: 934, SR: 692

OK, I found some different extrusive ore in my stash:OQ: 589, SR: 987And the bar is like 3/4 full.....what the heck..... i mined this stuff for free and paid 20CPU for the above stuff.... EEEEK!So, is there a problem with the weights for this resource? Should I trust the bar or the stated 50% OQ/50% SR ?I ask this because befure CU for BE, the chef nutrients state 33%/33%/33% but were really 50%/30%/20%... so you ignored the bars and the stats...oooof so confusingMessage Edited by rahbert on 05-02-2005 07:21 PM
It's not a problem with the % it has to do with the range.
Let's take an easy example. Kammaris Iron has an SR gate of 910-1000 that mean it never spawns with SR less than 910. Now I want to use this is Advanced Assault Armor Cores. The used stats here are OQ+SR (50%/50%).
I have two different kammaris in my inv to chose from,
Number 1: OQ 900, SR 920
Number 2: OQ 500, SR 990
How do I calculate which is the best? Well before this change the formula was simple (OQ/1000+SR/1000)/2 giving a value between 0 and 1.
But now it's a bit more complicated (OQ/1000 + ((SR - SRmin)/(SRmax-SRmin)))/2 where SRmin is the min gate and SRmax the max gate, so for Kammaris Iron SRmin = 910 and SRmax = 1000
Number 1 get (900/1000 + ((920-910)/(1000-910)))/2 = 0.506
Number 2 get (500/1000 + ((990-910)/(1000-910)))/2 = 0.694
So for this purpose number 2 is the best. BUT if the schematic had called for just metal instead of Kammaris Iron the SR gates would have been 1-1000 so in that case number 1 would have been the best.
