just so you know armor isnt the greatest thing in the world. Why? it lowers ur stats when u are wearing it, making u sometimes (depending on armor) more vurenable in combat.

Kulian is right. Obviously none of the people responding to this post have ever tried to play wookie before. Shield generators provide almost no protection against blast and only offer 28% (the most ive seen from amk3)resistance to mabey 3 or four damage types. Ive seen some of the uber armor and it offers like 80% protection to 10+ different damage types. My friends who play human tk masters can clean out rancor and graul lairs using almost no effort and a few stimpacks. no buffs needed. 400 extra points doesnt compensate for taking almost 5 times more damage from every damage type just because you are a wookie. I think that mabey the devs should develop wookie clothing attachments or crude armor at least. Just because Chewbacca doesnt wear armor doesnt mean that other wookies cant. lol no matter what the devs do i'll never stop being a wookie but it would be nice to see them treat all races at least somewhat equally.

Whenever this topic is raised it's easy to see who has actually played a wookie... When I was one-shot killed by a human commando in full composite, who took my lightning cannon shots without a scratch, I took great solace in the fact that I was actually stronger.

I gave up BH for TKA, it seems to suit a wookie far better in my opinion. I manage fine without anything other than my knackered-out field generator, it's just a matter of using your specials wisely [and have a few boxes in medic, natch]. If wookie armour was to come out now I don't know if I'd wear it, even though Imourned it's absence originally.

My spouse has been a wookiee since July.

No, you cannot wear armor. Of any kind. Shield generators are useless.

His character is now going master TKA/master doc in order to be able to buff himself and stay in a battle longer than 1 hit from a Tusken Warlord.

If it's true that wooks are getting armor in the next patch, /cheer!

BTW, you can get enhanced clothing made by a tailor with BE mods in it but so far the only thing really available is bleed defense in a shoulder pad, injury/wound treatment and dance/music healing due to the types of cloth used in wookiee clothing. I know, I was a master tailor and made him clothing.

At least TKA gives him powerboost, which along with muon gold will enhance his stats and help him out in combat...

to anyone who says 'yeah, but wookies get xtra stats instead of armor'....all i can say is..play a wookie sometime and see what kind of 'balance' this gives lol. you'll delete your character immediatly, guranteed. all starting characters should be balanced, they should not all be the same(or comparable)EXCEPT 1.

i was on dathomir last night and watched a human stand there tanking 5 rancors at the same time..not babies, not youths, regular rancors and 1-2 bulls. he was standing in the middle of them yelling 'is this all you can throw at me Dathamir' and kept laughing. he was taking 18dmg a hit from the 'high' dmg hits lol. he saw me come up and stopped to talk to me for 2-3 minutes while he was being attacked from all angles. it was hilarious. he then turned around and killed all 5 rancors in less than 2 minutes. he was wearing 80% composite etc....

i went to go solo a rancor nest as my mission shortly after, got hit1x and fell over incapped, then db'd lol...that was with 1k life.

does he need to be nerfed? no, dont think so...the thing is, he HAD a choice of armor or not. wookies have zero choice, besides, it denies them about 1/2 of the game since hunting creatures that drop armor/enhancemets etc like krayts and nightsisters server no use to wookies. when i find cool clothing or armor, or see someone selling armor i would have to have i just have to move on or delete it...

Hello, I'm a mid-level BountyHunter and a Wookie (feel like i'm at a AA meeting for Wookies...Armor annonymous). Post patch, I grinded out CH until I could use my GSP's again which I use like a shield generator, in fact one's name is Contego...latin for shield.(I do have a nice shield generator which I have yet to see the effects) If I attain MBH I will only have 33 Skill points to play with, and I have done hours of research on the forums to see how they're best spent (offesive vs. defensive vs. self healing skills)I would hope individualsdeciding on characters would be able to advance in any profession regardless of the race they choose. As I advance my character it is much more difficult to stay alive...God forbid I ever did any PvP or tried soloing a rancor. I understand the reduced stats wearing armor argument but I have group hunted enough to see the pro's outway the cons. I am very interested in seeing the armor and it's effects.

I'd like to thank the powers that be for the Wookie life day orb, but there wouldn't need to be a life day ifour fellow Wookies had a little protection to keep them alive!

Once a Wookie...always a Wookie!

Wookies get an insane amount of extra stat points to compensate for the no armor bit. Go to character creation and look at all the pros and cons for the races. Wookies get like 400 extra stat points.

Dude, the amount of stats we have may be more, but with armor any non-wookiee player could add up to 10 times that amount in stats. And with the amount of damage that most of the further along players do...its stupid...

There really needs to be some sort of wookiee armor because attatchments and buffs just don't help as much as they should!

I'm a Wookiee on the Starsider server. I have 8% energy resist and 18% resist everything else at times. How? Shield generator mk1. It doesn't really work all that well,I need to upgrade to a mk3. Got it when I was doing Nym's Themepark on Lok, ran into a Master Armorsmith and they gave it to me. Sometimes it shifts, which is annoying when I'm going on Bounty Hunter missions. But my point of all this is why don't they just let Wookiees wear shield generators as armor, make shield generators good, and fix the dang things! Wookiees would actually stand a chance against everything out there, and it wouldn't go against continuity.

P.S. How much do mk3s run?

wookies can wear psgs as armor

Most masters charge around 15k for a mk3, and 25k for the new imp psgs
