I've been asked about sockets like 3 times, that's probably why I was oblivious to the socket nerf until someone else pointed it out. As it is, I run a shop at the moment which only carries aesthetic, unenhanced clothing, with sockets that I don't pay attention to. My shop is doing pretty well for itself anyway. I still think the socket thing super-sucks, but it definitely affects some more than others.

They're random...though alot of FS crafters swear they get more sockets, but no real proof of that.

Sockets are random. Though to many of us it seems that the higher your experimentation skill is, the more sockets you will get in a piece. At least that has been my experience.
Sockets will just appear in any armor piece except for boots, gloves, belts, and bandoliers. You have no control over them whatsoever.

I have 4404 FS crafting, and I haven't seen any difference, still get planety of 1 and 0 socketed stuff.

Ok i looted a CA with general melee accuracy +13 but it has 2 other mods on. They are +2 and +3 in number.
Ok lets say i have a peice of clothing that is 4 sockets. But 2 sockets are already taken up.
I would like to know if a triple modded CA would stick to it? And if the higest number on that CA would stick. thanx.
someone told me they said it changed post cu and u cant fit this CA in there. Please clear it up for me.

the +13 and the +3 will stick ( the +2 will vanish since you only have 2 free sockets )
The highest number always sticks first

so your best bet would be to add a single mod first (like +5 def vs dizzy) and then add that gm acc ca. since it's the highest mod it will still stick if 3 sockets are taken up.

To clarify.. if you have 2 sockets free, and a 3 mod CA, then it will use 2 sockets and the highest 2 mods will stick...
The order of mods is highest +, if more than one mod has the same bonus, then its alphabetical.. to get the most out of your sockets, save that tripple mod CA for awhile to see if you can find a SINGLE mod CA that you can use and put it on first, then put the triple mod CA on and you'll get the +13 AND another useful mod from the single mod CA.
