when you craft clothes, you get sockets. is there any way to assure that you will have sockets? does it have something to do with the quality of materials? i can craft the same shirt with the same materials over and over, and get 4 sockets on one shirt and none on the other... as for my skill, i am one block from master, does it have anything to do with this? just curious

I'm a new master as well and I don't know a thing about sockets.. I've been wondering though and would love info on what they are all about and how you get them.

I am wanting to put some armor attachments into my composire armor, but it does not say how many sockets there are to each piece. Can only armorsmiths see how many sockets are available?

I also have another question. When a skill attackment says something like 1 handed accuracy """-1""" Does that mean it will decrease your accuracy? Or is the little negative symbol a bug? I want to buy all the skill attachments that will help my combat profession, but they all have these -1. Will this hurt my skills?

well, you should be able to see the amount of sockets, fi you cant see it it aint there.
yes a -1 tape is bad.

I'm looking for gloves, a belt, headwaer, and footwear, that has 4 slots... I have found 3 slots for all, but i'm tired, and don't want to make a bunch of stuff I'm going to destroy. Are there any 4 socket of the above items? Thanks for your help.

I'm afraid the other post is right... It's random.
If someone really must have a 4 socket item. I make them leave a deposit, and I will charge them for every piece I make until they get one with 4 sockets. Occationally I get lucky and get it in 2-3 tries, but nomally it takes a LOT more 
So far, I have not seen a trend in terms of what might give me a better chance of getting 4 sockets. /sigh

I'm thinking about making a vendor that has 4 socket bio wear and 4 socket gloves Hats Coots Belts etc. Do you think that people will pay extra money to buy these Items?

I actually think people would pay a significant amount more for the 4-socket pieces than any other. I'm not sure if it's enough to warrant an entirely seperate vendor, but if you've got the Merchant, why not?

I have a special vendor for 4 socket BE clothing (all high end mods) and right now these are the only clothes that are selling for me.

imo this REALLY needs to be un-nerfed - and no crap about it "working as intended"
I am master artisan/master tailor... and I still have 2 sockets pop out more than any other.

All my BE stuff is on Same Vendor And I do Charge Alittle MORE for 4 Sockets. Its not much. But it is more. And They all Sell.
I got lucky on all the Def vs Formfitting Shirts lately thatI have made. Not spending More then 2Tissues on any Schematic I make of them.
I had a Custom Order the Other day though that Wants BE Camos with 4 Scokets Def Vs Stun took me 18 tries. to get 4 sockets. She made me charge her for all of them and keep the rest for resale. She got lucky on a Spec-ops Duster because I got 4 Sockets with 2 Be Tissues on the Try.

Huh. It's very strange to me that people ask for these. I've only been asked for a 4 socket item once in my 9+ months of tailoring. Very strange indeed......
