I looted some janta hides with a base effectiveness of 3%. Are these used for anything special or are they just crapy armor enhancements?

Janta Hides. What kinds of armor are they good in? What are good stats for the hides? What are they worth? Any thing else I should know about these hides and using them in armor? Thx for any information.

They are segment enhancers, they go in the segment enhancement slot on armor. Normal ones add 3% to the base. Price varies by server. They work in anything. I plan to put some in the RIS suit I'm working on making.

I personally have some that go up to 7% base. People here have told me they've had them with base increases up to 9%.

Also note that these do not increase HAM costs or move any base resists to special protection.

I'veseen one with13%, they don't drop above 5-6% these days though.

check you galaxy trade forums. The prices will vary from server to server, so that really is you best option to getting an accurate price.

Im seeing Janta hides being used with 4% and higer base are these a "rare" drop (highlight yellow) ? I have over 40 Janta hides all but 2 are only 3 % and how high of a base can you have ? Thanks

I've seen some 7% base ones before. Never any higher though. Wonder what an exceptional looks like?
