Wooly is a small part of the overall picture anyway. The real problem I see with the resources is the colat... it's mediocre. Good colat makes a huge difference. Just checking swgcraft.com, it looks like that colat is 35 days old. There was a much better spawn just a few days before that (server 2nd best actually), should be easy enough to find some for sale.I'd also try to find better polymer. ~600 SR isn't very good. Other than that, things look okay. Solid petro could be a bit better maybe. I'm envious of your fiberplast, it's been a while since chilastra's had a spawn close to that.
Ok, I stand corrected on the colat. But don't underestimate the effect the hide can have - I know for a fact that it was the wooly hide (Riesov: 975/865 OQ/SR) that allowed me to hit 40% stun / 67% base, without using any enhancers.
As a side note: I also envy that plast... Chilly's server best isn't that good, with Ikoorp at only 845/976/714 MA/OQ/SR and 250 days old.

Though I'll take chilly's Poly Copper: 999/794, and intru. ore: 991/928... But man those are some nice resources

You guys have been VERY helpful. I still don't know a whole lot about AS, and I thank you very much for all of your help. I will be searching for some better resources tonight.

Also do you take the base on the layers to just 4% or do you max it?
I spoke to one of our Premier Armorsmiths on intrepid and he told me that there is a hidden % within the base on layers.. although it does not goto 5% it can get around 4.5% which will push your end product to around 70 - 72% base
Thanks Jzeus!

Yes the hidden decimals are there...
I normally make my high base stuff with layers that are 4.66+%. With three layers like this you will get 14.??% which is pretty neat :-)
When doing high base always make sure to make base all the way through your product as the decimals are carried all the way through.
I know this because I at one time changed my polymer in my kin layers and though the segment base percent didnt change I got the final product bumped by 1% :-)
The easy way to find out how much you approx got on the base of your layers is to make an unlayered seg take not of the base
Then make three max base layers and see how much that bumps the base
14% bump = 4.66% or better
13% bump = 4.33-4.65% (the segs also have hidden decimals so its not exact science)
12% bump = 4-4.32%
or even easier we know that the cutoff point for 4% is 75% exp.
If you for instance get 84% maxed you will have a 4.36% layer ((84-75)/(100-75) = 0.36 (actual percentage - cutoff point)/(Next cutoff - last cutoff))
88% will be 0.52
92% will get you past 0.66
anything above 92% is icing on the cake that might and might not give you something in the end, this is something you will have to experiment on.
Armorcrafting is fun fun fun :-P
Good reading on layeerring is docparnes layerology guide on the swgcraft forum. Not just the post itself is great but also the whole discussion in the thread afterwards is very rewarding.

Some room for improvement there.... My best is 986oq..... That alone would bump you an extra % base...
