For layers you put the 7 or 8 points into the base/resists, which ever one you want to max, and experiment. You keep doing that until you get an amazing. Then you put one point in to finish off that line. You can then put the other 4 points in one of the loner lines and take your port then. You hope for an amazing then. Usually about 1/3 or 1/4 will hit that second amazing. It can take 20 or so layers to get all the amazings.

I seem to get more amazings in chef than I do in armorsmith. I have +121 assembly in chef, only +120 in armorsmith. Haven't actually counted though, just an impression.

I do believe pyollian cake is only for the origional assembly. For help getting amazing rolls during experimentation you'll want to use bespin port.
