Thread: Moderate Success

I've heard, and of course I can't remember where now, that experimenting only a few points at a time gives you a lesser quality end-result then going "whole-hog" and laying it all down. Has anyone else noticed this? I've never noticed myself, but I also have never experimented only a few points at a time, I always put them all down.
Old wives' tale.
Every once in awhile, I make schematics with different methods of experimentation, just to make sure nothing's changed.
Conclusion: Always the same end results, regardless of method.
There is the "fluke" experimentation bug, however, it has nothing to do with experimentation methods. The fluke is where you are granted an extra "bubble" or two of experimentation that you normally should not receive, thus giving you a schematic a few points higher than possible. But since the "fluke" happens before you even start filling experimentation bubbles, it's not dependent on your method.
It's happened to 90% of the population at least once and no one has figured out the cause, they just consider themselves lucky for a week when they happen to get the fluke. ![]()
I was building a Advanced Vibro Blade Unit and already maxed out the damage to 24-57. Then i go on with putting the remaining points into range and get a moderate success there and now the damage is 21-57??
I wouldn't mind if i could use another point to bring it back to 24-57 but i can't.
