This is still open for debate. Some say use armor. Some say don't use armor as a TKA.

I'm not using armor.

Here's your answer to that, armor for a TK is really only effective against marksman, melee not really going to help you much. The better the armor the less it's suppose to wear on your stats but this I found out is untrue. I have a set of Ubese armor pretty good stuff yet I find it's only good when I'm shot at. Also the lower the type of armor the slower your action and mind regen. Wearing bone armor you can just forget about your action and mind regenning, mostly action pool. Wearing Ubese your action and mind regen a little better but not by much. I have yet to try the best armor in game but I seem to do much better without wearing armor.

Again depends on the circumstances if you are PvEing then go without armor, if you are PvPing and are up against marksman use the armor and have plenty of stim packs on hand plus make sure your mind pool is set pretty high up.

Until I get a set of the best armor a Master Armorsmith can make then that is as much information that I have right now.

Hmm, Iam currently experimenting withChitin myself, at 6 boxes into tera kasi. The only real problem is that the damage it lets me avoid goes right to the pieces. I did 15000 damage to a set of leggings yesterday. If you make an error repairing that, it's time to buy a new pair.

I don't have high quality stuff yet, Ican't find any better than about 11-15% kinetic per piece on Naritas (but I am not looking very hard). Even without the gloves or boots (I am Trandoshan), the armor absorbs about 1/3 of all kinetic damage I take. For example, if I get hit for 90 total, my armor tends to absorb 30 of that, passing 60 on to me.

Since you can't heal armor - other than using armor repair kits which have charges and can fail, ruining the piece of armor - you can go through a lot of armor this way. I just put in an order for 20 armor repair kits from an artisan friend, and I have 3 suits of chitin now that I alternate to keep the pieces from falling to bits.

This is a very expensive endeavor. Naked, I can complete the same destroy missions, but multiple mobs can cream me a lot more easily, and I have a touch more downtime.

I find it really does absorb a lot of damage over time, but itcertainly doeskill your regen stats as stated. I take it off to regen naturally, and I pop stimpaks like nobody's business (naked or amored). Styling also gets rather painful. I finally ditched my other skills and added medic, and find the stimpacks really help. Just have to watch that mind pool is all.

If you can afford it (buying and replacing pieces that disintegrate when you try and repair them), armor lets you take some pretty tough mobs. I am back to being able to take down yellows. Even took a greater sludge panther yesterday which has 60% kinetic damage resistance. That was a long fight, and my armor got shredded, but I won. I know, probably small game to you, but without armor, I would have had to pop at least 1/3 more stimpacks, and probably incapped myself due to loss of mind. I think I need to find a better vibroknuckler supplier, as my damage is awfully low.

I guess there's no easy answer - I myself alternate - some days I go around in full chitin, other days I take it off. I just find that wearing it leaves me less prone to dying to adds, and let's me live a bit more dangerously, tackling things I normally would just leave alone.

What would you guys suggest for a TKA armor, i was thinking i mainly wanted Kinetic and Energy Resist because i mainly fight animals, which if not all are Kinetic then its npcs which mostly do use energy except a few, i dont wear any armor now so it wouldnt seem much differnt, and RIS do you think that would be any good? one of my guild AS said he can layer me some padded to a 50% kinetic resist, but wont really protect against other types of attacks, what would you suggest as a layered type of armor?

Im TKA to and think that well ubese has good protection but maybe going with an even lighter armour like mabari or chitin. I know protection for kenetic is very good on ubese but have in mind the high ham cost we have on our special attacks that we deliver every second then you really dont want all your secondery stats to be gone. when i use armour i some times dont even use the helmet because i lose my mind so fast when i do and i have 900 willpower and 500 focus so if you use knucklers then get something without layers so the encumdurance is low as it can be. just my thoughts but i dont know. Only thing i do know is that what makes me lose the most on my ham in combat isnt me getting hit its me doing special attacks.

Ubese. Given good resources, you can get it to 60% Kinetic. Given superb resources, 75%-80%.

As for energy...well...RIS would be it, but you better be rich.

Oh, forgot to mention you could also get Kinetic-Layered Composite, then PRAY for a REALLY good encumbrance slice....OR, convince your guild Armorsmith to make a 20-30 suit run of Triple Kinetic Layered Composite and get is ALL presliced, then buy the lightest pieces.

For pve usage ( in melee ) the ubese is cheaper andhave a lower HAM cost than the composite.

The HAM costs are much better with Ubese. Also, finding a set of Composite that is 1) wearrable w/out buffs and/or spice and 2) specifically made for kinetic damage can be tough.

i was wandering what you all think about this idea. since mandolorian armor can only be worn by master commando, bounty hunter, squad leader or ranger, i think that it would maby be a good idea to add a couple more like sets to the game for things like the lighter classes, light fencer, tka and pistoleer. i'd like to see some other people's opinions on this. thx in advance

Interesting idea. Maybe call it a "dueling outfit"?
