Thread: Regarding Factional Armor Being Bugged
This is all part of project management. I see a real lack of planning and testing when it comes to code interaction. This is a simple systematic approach where each section of code should have defined dependencies charted out and when code changes the dependencies should be tested. If they no longer exist as a result of the patch then they need to be tested to prove they no longer exist and the chart updated.
Programmers need to focus on writing code while managers focus on quality control. If you don't meet the dead line you patch what you can without introducing the new bugs. The rest gets updated in the next patch

Well, I was on the edge to quit when CU hit. But I stuck around to wait for the changes. However, the only changes I see is a bunch of bugs and more killing of Armorsmithing. So I put this out to you all. We tried petitions, rants, venting... you name it. Its been done!!! Except one thing. It worked in the past IRL, still works IRLand could possibly work in SWG. STRIKE!!!! We need to have a scheduled walkout!!! We all need to ban together as a union!!! All Armorsmiths and on all servers!!!! We need to unite and strike. Pull all items off the vendors, not make any new ones and demand the DEV's to fix these problems now!!! Fix the color problems, fix the crated items, fix the vendors...ect. I have had enough of this. If we strike, it will unstable the economy of SWG. THEY HAVE STIRED THE NEST, SO LETS DO WHAT A HIVE OF BEES WOULD DO. STING'EM!!!!!

Guildies and I predicted that this "publish" of so little significance that it might as well have been called a hotfix would bring more problems than it solved or fixed.
Guess what...
Also tell them we would like to allow a vendor to wear faction armor, to give the look of having Imperial Officers in charge of the munitions at Imperial (or Rebel) guild buildings that are themed to be a military base.
Thank you.
Of all the bugs we've had recently, this one reeks worst. I think even the Commando's AoE is slightly less bad - a commando can still kill somebody, just about. An armoursmith can no longer sell their wares.
Disgusting.
I tried several things - factories ingedient hoppers will let you drop but not pickup with different character - wont let you trade - wont let you drop anywhere but factory - and as usual still no reply to any ticket I ever posted but one many months ago - I also tried declaring combatant and pvp - and nothing - tried declaring with other player to pick up from factory and nothing so its definately broke and needs to be fixed. Clone armor may be broke too someone said it cant be traded either.

ARMOUR CAN BE MOVED TO A DROID & BANK.
Great. I guess everyone gets a free mouse droid with a suit of faction armor now instead of a free backpack.
Droid trade does not work - the faction armor is flagged as 'no trade.' Also, adding someone as an admin to your structure does not work. They will get a no permission message when trying to pick up the armor (or a container that it is in). Finally, since you cannot drop the item in a structure you are not the owner of, you cannot go drop in their house, even if you are the admin. The only thing I have not tried is dropping the armor into a structre (factory or 1-lot naboo donut) and then transferring the structureto the customer for them to retrieve the item. My lots are all tied up, so this is not really an option for me.
