Thanks for the reminder about varients of our IG armor in the SW EU, but I was talking about the movies only. Didn't realize that so many here actually remember the old Marvel Star Wars comics & Darkhorses's ones too, they held me over between RotJ & HttE.

OMG... is this ALL you have to worry about in your life..."where does each kind of armor come from?"

THEY COME FROM SOME CONCEPT ARTISTS HEAD AND WERE PROBABLY TWEEKED BY SOME DEVELOPERS. That is all and that is about how important it is. If you want to know the "SWG story" aboutit, become a master armorsmith and go talk to the crazy old man in the mud hut by the abandoned rebel outpost on Dantooine.

Here's another question... Where do perlek's come from... I didn't see them in any of the other video games or novels or movies or comic books or coloring books.... waaaahhhh

well as far as movies only goes, the only armours seen in that are as follows:

Ubese

Tantel

Stormtrooper

Scouttrooper

Mandalorian

Mabari

period. (may have missed some, but dont think I did)

I'm pretty sure one of the BH on the ISD is wearing a composite chestpiece, the guy with the bandage round his head (I'm not too sure I'm right but am pretty sure it's in there)

Forgot to say this was episode 5 (shame on me as it's my fav of the lot)

Dunno bout him wearing composite, his whole getup was kind of original Dune-ish (baron harkonen anyone?) Anyways, there's a fanfilm on theforce.net Dark Alliance or something that has a bounty hunter who has a pretty close to full set of composite armor. It came out before this game as well so maybe they got it from there. Or maybe the film people got it from one of the comics as did SOE. Doesn't matter really. There are other armors seen in the movies if you look closely to the backgrounds but what does it matter anymore? I personally want more COOL types of armors. Bone, tantel, padded, chitin all suck IMO.

And RIS has nothing to do with Vader's armor. Vader's armor was specially craftedwith Cortorsis Ore (sp?). There is nothing similar about them at all IMO except that they're both derived from japanese heritage. Vaders armor was designed to represent a bedowan (sp?) warrior and RIS is obviously patterned off of a samurai suit.
