Thread: Space management, enough is enough!!
I love those ideas. Space management is a stupid waste of time.
Id love survey droids that were actually useful also, but Im just dreaming.
Personally I have 2 accounts so I have an at least sensible amount of lots and to have a 2nd char so I can get away from crafting from time to time.
Why should we be forced to store stuff in harvs and on vendors or swap lots such simple solutions exists?
Personally I havent swapped lots with anyone, but maybe I should start considering it.
I think the system is working the way it should. Lets be honest about what your saying. You want to be greedy. You obviosly lot swap. I did the math on this earlier you have the space provided to store over 50 million units of resources. Fifty million is more then enough. Your bank box alone can hold ten million units of metal. A backpack can hold 5 million a medium house can hold 15 million. Thirty million units on the base package. You can also use droids for storage a couple million there. Factories can hold quite a bit.
I dont follow you there. What is suggested here would help everyone, especially people with a low amount of lots.
Its stupid that we have to use every little cranny for storage.
Stacking resources higher would help HUGE. Also stacking stuff like Krayt Scales of same serial number, things like that.
On vendors, allow us to load one crate and set per piece cost and have the item pulled from crate. Save huge time loading 30 suits on vendor, reduce lag of pages and pages of items and assist customers scanning vendors.
I work on a small scale, and I have 3 houses full, as well as the input and output hoppers of 3 factories....
There should be limits to prevent infinate amounts of storage, but the game is designed where the well-stocked crafter has to hoard every decent resource that comes along. So, you either eat up alot of space storing resources, or you don't make stuff.
I'll suggest this again.. give us a storage unit, uses 5 units of storage in a house, but allows for storage of 100-200 units of resources (not anything else, JUST resources). this would releive alot of the storage pressure on crafters.
A pure combat char should be able to live within the 75 item per lot limit, although I also think it should be upped to 100 items per lot on pure principal. Crafters, however, cannot. The resources eat up too many of too few slots. we need some sort of releif.
Ive been trying to rotate all my resources, crates, subcomponents for so long and it gets very very annoying
Hopefully this subject gets some love (i doubt it) but heres to the cause.

Actually being able to have factory crates of 1000 would be awesome. It gets extremely confusing with the sheer volume of layers, segments, cloth, and armor padding.
Anyone else do a factory run of composite and find out you used the wrong crate of RFP's in your schematic? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Part of this would be helped by being able to Color factory crated items, and when they leave the crate, they go back to white. Being able to look at Syn Cloth XYZ and it being green and Syn Cloth AV and it being Orange is simple, but you can only rename things so many times before you end up having to click on them, I have 2 factories with about 25-40 segments/layers that I don't even look at anymore, its scares me to see whats in there. All it will do is add mass confusion and stress(yes, you can get stress from a video game) and make me log of for the night.
I finally organized to wear I put Mabari/Padded/Tantel in a pack and all the Specific resources, Ubese, Wookie, and Comp in there respective bags with another for all armor resources(Steel/Polymer/Fiberplast,etc) and layers, and 3 for specific type of enhancers. I'm more organized than I used to be but when I'm running 4factories(I want to take it light for the glory days of smithing for me) and swapping resources in and out gets confusing.
The mother of all helpers would be a schematic resource extractor type of game enhancement. For example: I am making 35 Ubese chest plates, all I have to do is have all the required resources in my inventory/backpack and it automatically grabs what I need in a pouch for easy placement in a factory..I can dream can't I? ![]()
Increasing stack sizes to, say, 500k would be a godsend.
I don't have trouble with subcomponents, such as dough, carbosyrup, etc. I just leave those in the outpout hopper of my factories and take them out as needed, but increasing the food and subcomponent crates to, say, 100 would be another godsend. Something needs to be done, because I stock more--way more--than vasarian brandy and I'm running out of space!
People have been asking for bigger stacks for as long as I can remember, and the devs have been ignoring the issue for as long as I can remember as well.
At this point in the game I no longer hold any hope the devs actually give a shlt about crafters.
