Sure about that? I'm familiar with the old system, I remember they said something different about the new system regarding this... thanks in large part to an armor exploit that allowed people to run around without leg or arm armor but have total body resists. I'll have to look up the exact article that makes me question this for your consideration/testing.

I'm going to try and assemble a whole armor suit with these resists and see if I average 20% critical chance or not.

Its not unbalancingif anyone can do it. Besides, 20% is only 1 in 5 shotchance of taking half damage. Not that big of a deal. However, 3% is utterlyworthless.

I cant recall where I read it, and I cant find it justyet, but I remember reading something to the effect that all armor was considered as one big peice and not as individual parts anymore. This is why armor gloves and feet no longer provide protection. They're not part of the total protection.

It may well be that I read that wrong, but its certainly worth a look into!

So the question remains, has anyone tried/tested it?

Jedi can't wear armor, TKA have innate armor. Both cannot be sliced. Its unbalancing.

They might have said that at one point, however a lot of stuff may have changed with the CU design while they were working on it.
