My comp armour is down to 50% - at what pencentage is its integrity compromised? Can I just keep using it until its down to 0%? Also, is it better to get it fixed or easier just to buy a new set?

The stats start going down around 33% i believe. It starts to get pretty bad when you pass 25%... Depending on what you're using it for (if PVE, how difficult your enemies are), i'd repair it around that 25% mark, if you are gonna fail the repair you can still at least get a few more credits worth out of it...

thanks for the advice guys. From what you're saying Owako, can I just repair it myself? Don't I need to find an armoursmith to do it for me? Where can i find a repair kit?

Novice Armorsmith's make repair kits....you can find them on the bazaar most of the time. And yes you should repairit yourself. Although the devs did post that armorsmiths have a slightly better change to not totally break it when repairing...but it's so hard to tell if it's actually working, most people think it's broken. I always repair my own weapons and armor....I might break something 1 out of 10 tries or so and most of the time I get repairs with minor blemishes.....I usually repair right at 50% - 55% as a rule.....never let anything get lower than 50%, the chance of breaking it seems to be higher after that.....from my experience anyway. That's just my rule though, feel free to do what you want....but at 25% all the resist on the armor starts to drop and you can never get that back even if you repair it.

50% is where I usually repair armor for best results and knowing that I will lose some condition on the repair. It is NOT PROVEN but RUMORED that armorsmiths do in fact have a slight advantage when repairing armor. My other character is Master Armorsmith and almost always has better results than me using the same repair tools. For what it is worth...

Not sure if something has changed, but i've done a fair amout of repairs on my armour recently (each peice multiple times) , i've not had anything fall appart on me for ages (not even on weap's i've repaired).

Has anybody else had anything collapse on them recently ? (as i remember they fell apart all the time!)

Also not true, you don't need armorsmith to make these, the best ones are made by master artisans.

I bet you're thinking of Armor Upgrade Kits.

As a bounty hunter i want to look different...to stand out in a crowd. Obviously i want to wear the best armour i can get, which seems to be composite. But everyone wears composite. Apart from a geeky looking helmet and disgusting legs composite is okay, but i prefer Ubese.

But Ubese doesn't compare with composite.

Does anyone wear anything other than composite? What do you use?

Stormtrooper Armour.

My set is getting dusty since I am grinding carbines (more stormtrooper like weapon). But for the good looks nothing beats a set of ST. Not much in the protection department though.

*psst* some armoursmiths are getting lightsaber resist to stay on tantel even after server resets and moving across server boundries

If your hunting jedi you don't need armor for the jedi himself. The jedi will even do more damage to you if your wearing armor, 25% more even. But if a jedi has some company with him it's pretty handy to use armor to stop their attacks. I never wear armor though, I wear hotpants!
