so if i got the parts and visit my local as, can they make me ris armour? or do i need a schematic

The AS needs to have the other resources as well. Good to check first as a couple may not be that common.
ex. I see people trying to buy Chanlon Intrusive ore on my server. Maybe it's rare...dunno. I have plenty and haven't needed to look for it.

I know this is a nooby question, but I try anyway
How do I get the RIS armour? I hear there is a quest I need to start, but have not been able to find anything on the forum.
Or is the armor a pure loot?
If its a quest, a guide to it would be nice

It is an armorsmith only quest. If your not an armorsmith you need specific loot and have a RIS certified armorsmith make it for you. For each piece you need a GDK scale, Woolemander bone frag and a Gurk king hide. Unfortunately these loot havent dropped since pub 12. On my server (Naritus) if you were to buy the loot it would cost about 40-50 mil hehe.

On tempest I have a full suit of Interwoven RIS and a full suit of BH armor. I wonder what I could get for those items.

In other words, RIS is as good as impossible to get now...

You can still get it you just need a Giant DuneKimo scale, Gurk King Hide,Peko peko feather and one other loot i cant remember for each piece of the Suit for the interwoven which is the good stuff
So you need about 9-11 of each piece and in case of any failures you'll need more.
I got myself a full suit minus the gloves (damn failures) about 4 months ago.
Some days though i think i should sell my RIS armor suit here on wanderhome... ia lso got 2 full BH suits too heh.

Pretty much.
But check the armorsmith forums every few days or so. When they do start dropping again the news will prolly be there first.

Does anyone know the cost of RIS (Reinforced Insulated Sheath) armour? Or what is the best type of battle armour? CM uses battle armour, it is related.

2. That depends on what you want. RIS will last longer than most and have more health enhancements (if that bug ever gets fix), however its price is around 10 million, with variance in price per server. Regular layered battle armor will run from 500k-1.5mill, depending on your server again. It is prbly your most effective bet for the best money. Unlayered battle armor is great for grinding.

all battle armor can have the same stats- the different types are just skin, except RIS has about 3X more condition then other armors.

factional battle armour is in ways a balance between the two, it tends to have more cond than normal armour, but you dont need to pay an arm and a leg for it (usually 1-2.5mill creds)
