As a Tailor, I'd love to see that ALL bandoliers and belts increased the max number of items a person can have in inventory. Additionally, we should be able to wear a backpack and a bandolier together.
If all of these items work the same, then I do not see it causing a problem for Tailors as we have a number of belts and bandoliers that are of little interest to most of our customers. So as a Master Tailor, I'm all for a belt/bandolier revamp.

got my vote as well. i think that is a good idea that will create more of a demand for one of our items.

Heh, nice idea. Actually add functionality to something already in game...

I'll take this a step further and say that all bondeliers and belts should have some storage on them. Look ata pocket on a belt. In "A New Hope" Luke pulled items out of the Stormtooper belt that he was wearing. He had no back pack. Just the belt.

Anything ever come of this? Seemed that everyone was generally accepting of the idea, did it ever get introduced to the Armorsmith correspondant or devs?

No, here's why:

ever try putting a clothing attachment in a backpack? It's impossible. You cannot add skill mods to anything with storage. What's the only reason people wear ubese bandoleers? To add armor attachments that wont decay. By adding backpack functionality to the bandoleer, you'll take away the main selling point of the bandoleer. You do replace it with a minor backpack funtionality, which would be an incentive to buy, however looks alone would not pursuade most people to pick up the ubese bandoleer if it held less then a normal backpack, thus shutting it out of both the backpack and the armor attachment markets, and leaving it for the few people who wear it just for looks (<-- not many..). I'd be all for the idea if you could fix the addition of SEA's to containers, but until then, I hold a strong no on the issue.

Drummerboy makes a good point about the downside to making the items as a storage item.
I find that more of my customers would rather have them for a place to insert their AA than to have them act as a backpack.

Yep. The point of the Ubese Bandolier is that you can have a bandolier with ARMOR attachments. Unlike all the other bandoliers in the game that are for clothing only attachments.

If anything they need to fix backpack sockets first.

thats what always kills me, you have the BH pack (fits great with ubese), and then the ubese bandoleer (looks AWESOME) ifthey wont make the bandoleer a pack, then make it just for astectic reasons.

Maybe one day they'll hear our calls.... I don't like having to take off my backpack to use my 2 handed speed modded bandolier. Though it's great to use, i usually carry alot of stuff with me
