Thread: results before/after this patch
Vigeant, what were your base resists on those stun layers though. From the little I've gotten to test so far on Bloodfin, it'd be impossible to get ou 65% base, 39% stun again.
Will play more later.

65% base 42% stun gloves post patch.....
I believe I can push base to 66% as segment was kinda bad...
73% base 15% stun possible too, fellow AS just tested...
Pity patch won't stay long enough to actually make the full runs though...
From a rough estimation ham would be around 1000/950/1020 for full set
I'm prolly gonna end up making the segments after reverse of patch and end up making 62% base 42% stun armor instead of the 65% base 37% stun I was making prepatch and ham should be equivallent...
And yes true 0/0/0 2% base layers are possible ...
I think I'm just gonna be lazy and stick to layers schematics though, too much work to run layers, make segments, run segments/cloths/panel and make final schematics...
Oh and no matter the number of amazing, it takes 11 pts at least to max a line if yourresources are good enough to takeit past 90%...

Lol devs make a lobby for people with good resourses
Patch suxxx
With current resourses on Farstar
befor Ubese 73% K 18% B
after Ubese 69% K 17% B
I just made some armor with pre-patch layers. I use the same materials, and here is the result.
The pre-parch armors is 80% Kinetic, 63% Electricity, 53%Base Effectivness
The after-patch armors is 80% Kinetic, 59% Electricity, 51% Base Effectivness
Hmm making 80% energy and elec, 76% base composite on Bloodfin. Fairly high ham though.
Also got 42% stun/ 69% base on some gloves. Maybe hit 70% on helm.
I don't have ham stats, but...
Pre patch 40% stun/ 64% base
Post-Patch I've gotten UP TO 43% Stun/ 69% base, now this WAS with 12 points, AND tons, and tons of experimenting.
Here are some numbers from eclipse,
Heavy 80%Cold : 74/75%Base, 765 / 691 / 789 - 7/7/7 layers
Light 80%Cold : 71%Base, 625 / 557 / 640 - 3/3/3 layers
Heavy 33% Stun 72%Base only helms and chest made layers are 16/16/16
Medium 33%Stun 70%Base, 817 / 738 / 838 - 10/10/10 layers
before the changes, the highest base I could reach is 70% (although top end resources would allow 71%), for entire suit mind cost is about 750.

Base on triple layered composite went from 68-69% to 73-74%
Stun Composite went from 40% to 43%
Kinetic Ubese went from 70% to 80%
It worked out well for an old smith like myself, so I made a couple schematics for use in the future. I felt bad for some of my younger smithing friends though.
So the patch rocks but only for those 12 point AS. The whole point in this was what? To make the people that loot those critical skill tapes even richer? Sure make resources more critical in the armor crafting, sure give us some more trouble to think about but hell don't just assume everyone has invested the millions upon millions of credits to buy tapes. Elitist is good but only when not overstretched. I'm a 10 point AS and as soon as I tried out the changes I reached the point of wanting to drop. No I'm not going to waste the time I pay for to gather the super hyper ultra uber elite resources nor am I going to kiss anyones @$$ to get enough tapes for the 2 extra points.
You can curse at me all you want but the only results I am reading is from those 10 point AS, since that is the majority that should be considered and not the 12 point minority that is all happy and jolly.

That is why they are not letting it stay. It does just the opposite of what they intended. Was supposed to balance out the economy, but when only the best resources make the best items, you drive the price up on those resources, which in turn drives the prices up on all items made with the resources.
