Because I'm only half awake, I'll just say, "Fascinating," as a former CS major.

cant you just open the file in append mode?

Well, after some very careful consideration, and actual usage of this thing, notes.txt is a REALLY bad way to do this.
One reason, if people actually save notes, like me.... they will get overwritten.

ok thx
i thought since it was greyed out it had found it allready
link
i think it is pasting the text twice, or did i make a mistake somewhere? Look at the pic above, its like it pasts it first unformatted and then formatted.
Is it possible to make a selection somewhere on which resources you want listed? and maybe just a specific resource from all planets?
oh and: GREAT WORK!

the unformated-formated is how alias's work, they are sent as if you typed them.
Working on some other options, but i figured this will be a good "for now" quick option.

fistly, you don't rename anything from the directory, if you setup your swg path correction, you will have a servername.txt file in that directory, for example "tarquinas.txt"
WHILE IN SWG, type /load servername.txt for example "/load tarquinas.txt"
NOW you have alias' loaded for each planet, i.e. /naboo, or /corellia, or /yavin4
*As far as appending notes.txt - not a good idea, because think about what happens if you are on a 12 hour play session, and its a new resource spawn, and people are updating swgcraft.com - lots and lots and lots of crap in your notes.txt file, plus if you decided to actually put a note in there, etc... best to keep that as notes.

I cant get the program to start and im guessing you need .net frameworks for this to run? Gonna install it right now and see what happens.
