i dont understand if you have a server specific request, why not use the server specific forum? wouldnt you get a better response there than a profession forum that engulfs all servers. Same with trade, a server trade forum will give you better results than a profession forum.
Maybe im wrong, maybe using the bria forum to contact people in bria sounds crazy, or perhaps this is just yet another "im right your wrong post", "im stubborn and have said oo much to back down now" post, lets see who can pee further post. Im guessing its the latter.

The only "sticky" think people seem to pay attention to....

No, this isn't a pissing contest. If it was, I would have named names in the first post. I didn't. I addressed what I felt wasa problem. The problem with simply posting in a server forum is that you can't target the Armorsmith community there. If I wanted torag onthe jedi of my server, that would be a GREAT place to do it. You see, just like selling goods, you have to know where your audience goes and how to reach them. Armorsmiths come to these forums to connect with one another. Not their server specific forums.

I agree that clicking the "next" button is just as easy as clicking "Bria" or "Wanderhome" , etc, but the audience you will reach is totally wrong. That's my first point. Armorsmiths SHOULD be free to find each other here. Bottom line, if it follows the forum guidelines for posting, it should be allowed without snide comments. I let it go for a while but after I experienced it, I started following these forums daily and I noticed it's a trend. And it seems to involve the same names routinely. So I spoke up.

All I'm saying is that it's a big sandbox... let people play how they want to as long as it follows the set rules. Those set rules ONLY prohibit buying, selling, or asking for pricing in this forum.

(Btw, the project is gathering steam. The bugs have been a big setback, but we're getting ready to go live. I plan to post here as a "business plan" for others after I've worked out the kinks)

Fiore, not to split hares here, but its called a galaxy forum. Most armorsmiths who come here also attend your galaxy forum if they are from your server. So if you have something specific to your galaxies smiths that doesnt relate to the smiths of the other servers, then mayhaps the best place to address this is on the bria forum, or the chilastra forum or whichever galaxy forum your from. I know that most of the smiths from chilastra talk both on our galaxy forum and ingame. So I dont see how the issue of keeping it to your trade or galaxy forum is inappropriate.

My point is simply this:

1) The only posts expressly prohibited are those that attempt to buy, sell, or price check

2) This forum is expressly designed to aid Armorsmiths in their profession, all aspects of their profession

3) If a post does not violate the first term and covers the second term as being helpful to some Armorsmiths ( in this case I narrow it down to a server specific subset of smiths ), then there is no reason for it to be not allowed.

The only counter arguments that have been presented are these:

1) The first page will be littlered with server specific requests.

2) No one wants to read about another server

3) The Armorsmith forum is only for issues that affect ALL Armorsmiths, not a subset.

If I missed one, I'm sorry. But I think all the objections can be answered quite easily and have already been addressed in prior posts.

At worst, I'm simply looking for an intelligent discussion on this. At best, perhaps a little understanding between people of a common goal to help advance the Armorsmith profession in their particular area. That's why we meet here after all.

lots of people have been posting in the trade
forums, but apparently AS deem not to respod there
either.

ive been asking for help from AS on the trade forums for
over a month now and no one even botheres to respond.

Not even the AS corro bothers to look there it seems
thats why people have been coming here as of late,
i know there not suppose to but people are asking for
help from the AS comunity and arent getting it
