Armorsmiths won't be going out of buisness!

I'm just saying, lets cap it all at 30%, 60% isnt enough! Lets add speed encumberances so poeple actually take their armor off in the city! Factional armor craftable, with new types like scout, fleet trooper. I would buy ST armor from you daily!

The only neutrals that ever had armor were like gang lords, I said to leave in lowered ubese and such. Neutrals don't fight to need armor, why do you think they are called "neutrals". Soldiers were the ones with armor, people joined sides to get the armor they needed and could not otherwise afford. You would still have bounty hunter armor, and mandalorian armor...

What they should do is limit the effectiveness of some of the skills while wearing armor. You shouldnt be as good at dodging while wearing composite as you are when wearing clothes, the same goes for melee and ranged defence.

On top of this they should scale down the armor resists by about 30% so that you end up with about 45-50% on heavy composite. They should not introduce any new artificial caps as that only limits the usefullness of loot made armor.

This coupled with a considerable reduction in buff power should be enough to hinder ppl from soloing most high level mobs.

Now I was just thinking that the other day. I was curious if secondary stats affected skill mods like dodge or speed or accuracy. I doubt they do, but armor definitely should. Why should light armor only be better for HAM regeneration. To me a lot of combat in this game is toss up between speed and damage. Like I have a 700+ damage power hammer with 5.9 speed and a curved sword with 300+ damage at 2.1 speed. The hammer will deal huge blow in more time. So it boils own to how much damage I want to take. If I can opt for a faster attack and kill the MOB quicker then I will take less damage. So armor should give you that option, where say comp takes the big damage but hurts your mods the most, but other armors could hurt you less or maybe even benefit you.

Me and a group of 6 others went to the Corvette the other day. Ended up getting aggroed by a SBD. He was hitting for 1600 damage a pop. I was wearing 80%kinetic/60%base composite (along with most others in the group) and he pretty much killed everyone in 2-3 hits. How is Composite overpowered?

When they nerf armor, they are going to have to make the Corvette and DWB far far easier.

If they just made Composite take 2 layers instead of 3, then make Normal RIS take 3, and Interwoven RIS take 3-4 layers and maybe 2 enhancements, this might balance things out a lil better without ticking anyone off too much.

me and my fiance were watching the history channel weeks ago and saw a show about armor. It was interesting because it showed a guy doing 'gymnastics' in a full suit of mideval armor. Cartwheels, handspings, tumbling. The narrator said it was a misnomer that armor was cumbersome and heavy, simple because if you couldnt move in it, you would be dead.

Begins piling wood in a large conical shape... Then goes over to a large can and begins pouring a clear liquid over the wood, soaking it until the peutrid smells surround the entire area... "Now where did I place those matches"

finds the matches, pulls one out, and watches the entire thread go up in flames...

"Burn baby burn..."
