The most common result is going to be a great success, so relying on getting multiple amazing successes is a chancy proposition. So experimenting multiplepoints at a time generally increases your chance of getting multiple points of "amazing" success.
Additionally, what you really want to avoid is that critical failure. Experimenting 10 1-point experimentations may be a higher risk of any 1 of those being sub-optimal (critical failure, or even moderate success).
