No... I don't, and I didn't expect to be able to make top quality armor the first day.

I have been master armorsmith for about a month now, maybe longer. There is nothing to stockpile because there hasn't been ANYTHING TO STOCKPILE. We had a Corellian wooly hide shift that was good, and I hunted them for 2 hours a day for the entirety of the shift for a 15k stack of wooly that is already half gone. What else am I supposed to do? One guy is paying 115 cpu for that shift... and still he's not getting any offers or sales.

Someone cannot work their way up or even be competitive if they're unable to gather even mediocre resources. Wooly on our server is not only unuberlike, it is horrid quality stuff. Here are the current shift's stats... with the exception of Lokian Wooly (impossible to obtain), it's all OQ+SR < 1100, and this is NORMAL.

Peogiof, Corellian Wooly Hide

DR=84, MA=48, OQ=107, SR=691, UT=626

Eogi, Endorian Wooly Hide

DR=320, MA=70, OQ=397, SR=31, UT=534

Aesroed, Lokian Wooly Hide
DR=384, MA=471, OQ=823, SR=770, UT=125

Hate, Nabooian Wooly Hide

DR=473, MA=901, OQ=363, SR=765, UT=152 *

Cirdoll, Rori Wooly Hide

DR=677, MA=480, OQ=442, SR=145, UT=954 *

Gyce, Talusian Wooly Hide

DR=610, MA=189, OQ=164, SR=775, UT=295

Wrevash, Tatooinian Wooly Hide

DR=14, MA=441, OQ=156, SR=632, UT=155

Srabif, Yavinian Wooly Hide

DR=243, MA=973, OQ=414, SR=378, UT=646 *

And, for the record, I think one stars should be reserved for poorly written threads... nota thread you disagree with.

We had yavian wooly not to long ago that was >1500 stats

When i mastered i made several suits and then had to sit on my hands for a little bit to wait for some wooly and Naboo fiberplast...this is the way things are..its not bad its actually good..

Several people have now become AS's in my PA..I helped them level taught them what i knew and gave them their 20suits worth... I also gave them access to what my old master had left behind which i had not even touched because I simply didn't need it...they are making armor without too many worries for the most part..

Infrequent spawns stop someone from grinding and making suits the next day as it should be...MA is a multimillion investment of time and your money. It pays well..but only if you invest in it very heavily. Im sorry if that for some reason does not seem fair. But that is how an economy works..even one as screwed up as ours

Again.. it's not a matter of paying for the hide in this case. Rangers and scouts won't hunt durnis for any price.

It's also not about making money... it's about being able to craft good armor, which was what I spent my SP to do. Old timers may be used to it, but this is a bloody 'game' after all... one has to wonder how fun this is when there aren't enough resources around to take pride in your craft.

I guess I wasted my time thinking I would get support for easing up on the rarity of a decent spawn of wooly and other resources.... but I still hold by my opinion.

Just think how much more pride you will have in your armor after spending 3 months gathering the best resources possible and your first piece of 71% armor pops out of the factory...and then someone buys that first set...

My suggestion is do what alot of AS's do..get a combat profession and grind that while you get your self properly set up from AS

I can see how that would get frusterating, but everyone on your server is dealing with the same thing.

Except the folks that have been an AS for a long time, but even they will run out. If they haven't already.

Like a previous post suggests....it becomes a game of collecting the most resources. We had a really nice spawn of wooley on Naboo. Gualama, Peko, Giant Peko and Albatross drop it. You can only get Gualama missions. I spent 2 weeks doing nothing but hunting these things. Mainly Gualama. Didn't make any armor while I was there either. It was boring, but I needed the hide and couldn't afford 150cpu. blah...blah...blah...

If it's spawning on a low lvl planet, hire n00bs. Give them a decent weapon and a suit of Mabari. Then work out a deal. Most are thrilled to have something constructive to do and get exp at the same time. Hell....they may wind up being a major supplier for ya in the future.

Bottom line...everyone is in the same boat. You gotta either have money to buy it or get it yourself.

I wish I'd known that ahead of time.

I am a TKM now, and I grind what I can... wooly hide is really my only issue. Everything else is basically obtainable and comes in decent shifts. But wooly... gah... how I hate it. There's just nothing to grind... I drove around for a while looking for langlatchs before deciding it was an excercise in futility.

The actual crafting part is great. In fact, I might jsut stick with making custom Ubese sets. Doesn't make a lot of money, but it is a profit and I take a lot of pride putting people in sets of Ubese in an appealing color scheme. To me, this is fun...

Hunting durnis... is not.

But if you really have a love for crafting then you will be patient enough to wait on that good wooly spawn. I think the only reason I'm still playing is because I like crafting so much.

Or maybe I'm crazy. Lol.

Not crazy, I've been a Asmith since launch and picked up WS after I found I had a lot of similar resources.

For me it is no longer about the credits or the volume, it's all about making cool stuff for other players to enjoy. Sometimes I give stuff away to guildmates or polite people, sometimes.

I'd rather stay low volume and keep it fun instead of trying to build some multi million credit empire that becomes a full time job.

But as far as the original poster goes I would staunchly oppose any increase in spawn rates for "uber" wooly. I had to earn every last resource I have, nobody gave anything to me.

I do speak with other armorsmiths and folks on my server. They're all having the same problem and quite a few folks are quitting.

I love how something can't be posted without everyone trying to turn it on the original poster.

Just because things are a certian way for you or maybe for the entirety of your server, don't be a jerk about it and presume things about me because my experience doesn't line up to yours. I've worked damn hard, and I think I've earned the right to say, "Hey... give us a break with the wooly hide already."

And, ya know what, I wasn't even suggesting that. Thanks for reading.

I don't want UBER wooly on all planets at all times.

I want more than 2 usable spawns in 6 months. How is this wrong? Gawd, you people are bitter...

Lol. You've worked for a month. That's not that damn hard. It is seriously something you have to deal with. Take up a combat profession. Do something else while you wait for the good wolly to spawn. Try and buy some from an older smith. Don't whine about getting a good spawn of wooly each month. I had to wait 5 months before I could make Adv Composite because Kiirium wouldn't spawn. Try dealing with that before whining about wooly hide being crappy.

You know, I was very polite in my post and offered you the best advise you can get for the situation you're in.

Quit AS now. You will never provide anything useful for the community and we don't need the negativity.

People were trying to explain in a polite way why wooly spawns like it does. The gloves are off now with your last post.

How are they not useable? I've used similar stuff in a pinch. I find it hard to believe that there have been no "useable" spawns in 6 months. The stuff changes every 7-10 days in a shift, average that out and we are looking at 100 different spawns of wooly, are you sure your data is accurate?

I'm not bitter, I just grow weary of new armorsmiths who know nothing of adversity (see beyrillus copper on Bria in the early days) profess that the spawns are all bad.
