The Interwoven schematic segments become more expensive because it's much harder to make a segment schematic.

Before, it was limited to the number of cubes, NS layer or other loot set sizes. Now....Gurk hides and woolamander bones are added to that. These loots didn't count towards that because they had no serial numbers.

On a side note. What do you think is going to happen if RIS becomes more powerful than comp? There is going to be a lot more of it, because it will have better resists. All the stacking, FOTM PvP crowd is going to be hanging out on Lok so they can be "uber" again.

What I don't understand, is why people wear armor in PvP. It does nothing to protect against the sludge that's thrown. Well...maybe a helm. That will add another 30secs to life expectancy....maybe.

That schematic isnt necessary though right ? Im not interested in stats, only display armor. I cant imagine anyone using this expensive armor in any other way really. If I can provide someone with 9 peko feathers, 9 gurk king hides, 9 GDK scales, and 9 woolamander fragments, Im still expected to pay millions ? Not trying to be sarcastic, just want to know what to expect.

Correct the interwoven RIS schematic isn't needed. The armorsmith did have to pay out of there own pocket to finish the quest though. You need:

1 GDK Scale
1 Peko Peko Albatross Feather
2 Woolamander Bone Fragments
2 Gurk King Hides

Plus the resources required are pretty rare. Plus how do you tell someone that you Crit failed on assembly for a piece of RIS? Ugh, I would feel horrible telling someone goodbye to a GDK Scale, Woolamander Bone, and a Gurk King Hide.

I have had a crit fail on a chestplate for someone. Screenshot it and sent him an email with it. Not much else you can do except feel sorry for the poor guy. heh

When I make an RIS piece for someone, I tell them when I am doing the final combine so we can both cheer and celebrate if it didn't go crit...

First complete RIS set made for myself on Aug 1, 2004 with stats of approx 75% Kinetic/4% Stun/5% Acid/65% Base/vuln to Lightsaber. (unsliced)

Yeah the crit fail is no fun. I have had 1 since I started making the armor when it first came live but since then I have made well over a suits worth without any problems.
