Gimme a break, the damage reduction over time in any PVP fighting when wearing 44% Stun or 41% Stun will be minimal...

You're BRAGGING about a 3% difference which when you consider that stun batons can only hit health or random pools, 44% Stun armor won't help you any better than 41%.

Evena 44% Stun helmet vs. a 41% Stun Helmet will yield getting hit with a Jawa, for example, for 500 points of Stun damage will be 220 vs. 205 damage. 15 points of stun damage difference not taking into consideration ANY Synthsteak or PSG's one may be wearing. BIG DEAL!

What you're bragging about is pointless, meaningless and shows you're a noob crafter.

Ok I welcome you to go on my server and report us.

Your math above is correct, but you arent looking at the whole crafting process. Divulge my secret? Of course not, Ima businessman and I dont wanna see every smith on our server making these.

The only thing I will hint at is for FS crafters- these are even more possible.

He did an awesome thing that no one had done before. He's most definitely not a noob, unless spending countless hours trying to make the community happy is a "noob".

First the Nazis came for the Communists, I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. After that they came for the Trade Unionists, I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. And then they came for me, but there was no one left to speak.

Thats one of the best Trolls I have seen

maybe someone is a bit envious that he cant do it himself or maybe he is a noob crafter...

I know one of the joys of crafting is trying to do better all the time, if it makes a lick of difference in the end has nothing to do with it.
Just gotta do it because it can be done!!

I have to say that I believe some of the best smiths have posted on this thread. Granted the difference is minimal, but that is not the point. A "noob" would look at 41% vs. 44% and say "Bah its no big deal", but the MAS that has dedicated countless hours crafting and trying to make the best possible armor will look at this and say "damn impressive". It's not about the 3% difference. It's about bending the expeimentation cap and doing what we have thought could not be done. It is this type of pioneering that keeps raising the bar. Currently I can not say I have done it and me personally as a MAS, I want the bragging rights to have made it. If it has been done and can be repeated I will try to do it on my server and post my findings when I do. 5 stars to all those that are looking at this as an amazing find!

Keep the good work up all!!!!

Yea the 3% difference may not be much but like you said it isnt the point.

So I just read this whole thread and found it very interesting. I'd like to try to reproduce it on my own server, however our crism spawns are far inferior to what you all have to work with (my best stuff is like 550 OQ and 250 SR :smileysad. I've got a couple questions for you Rocky that I hope you will answer. I have a hard time understanding a couple statements you made.

First, you talk about double amazings. Does this mean getting an amazing success on the special protection and then a second one on the base, or do you mean putting all your points in at once (on base and special at the same time) and getting an amazing success on that? Please clarify what you mean by a double amazing.

Also you kept saying that it was very easy to miss the higher stats when trying to get double amazings. I assume that you mean you might have come across this earlier on, but probably didn't notice it in your grind to get a double amazing layer. The thing is though, how could you have missed it? I assume that when you get this special assembly or what not, it lets you expirement beyond what is normally possible. The screenshots shown by the crafter above that duplicated this on another server showed where they had expiremented the layer to 97%. I and most other AS making triple stun layered armor probably always max out the stun protection when making layers for this kind of armor. If you always max out the stun, how could you miss the fact that it was a critical assembly? I just don't understand how you could miss being able to max out the stun to a percentage higher than usual. I guess maybe it's because you get to a certain percentage that you know is high enough and do not max out the special protection, but otherwise I don't think there is a way to miss this event. If you would elaborate more on this I would appreciate it because I am trying to get a better idea of what I should be looking for.

Kudos to you all that have done this, I would love to be able to duplicate it on my own server. I find some of the information above interesting about the quality of your resources not mattering when you get one of these critical successes. This would mean that I could achieve the same results with the inferior resources that my server has available.

I'm pretty sure "double amazing" refers to when you hit an amazing on special protection, then experiment on the base and hit another amazing, maxing out the potential (or so we thought) of the layer.

And usually what I do is just assemble a layer quick, and if I don't get an amazing on the first attempt, I end the process right there and start on another. So I could understand what he means when he says it's easy to miss them. I used to pay little attention to the percentages, but I've learned now that we probably should watch closer.

I would just like confirmation on.... does the assembly give you a higher experimental percentage, so that you could see you have a 30% on step 3 when you normally have about 24%? Or can you just spend more experiment points on the lines, meaning you wouldn't know it until you maxed out the line... very strange.

Also strange that most everyone that has said they got a critical success talks about using newly spawned resources... hmmm...

OK!!!

I got a critical success that everyone is talking about

I decided to do my run of composite by hand (FS xp, and what not) and to see if I could get one of these amazings/critical sucesses. On the assembly screen my comp chest was 27% instead of 25% (middle row) and I was able to hit 72% base on the chest. I was barely scraping 70% with the chest at a 88% experimentation. I was able to experiment it up to 93% and get 2 more points out of the base.

I don't have screenies and I didnt do a schematic. I did this for my own benifits, but would just like you all to know I did do it. I think it was prob after 200-300 crafts by hand. Also I wa doing this ti use up all my spare cloth and rfp so even if I did do a schematic I could have only made 5 more chests so it didnt seem like the effort.

that is all

so, it is possible, just sucks it wasnt on a layer (or seg for that matter)

it was on a chest

filu, eleoipi, erek, elat, ogieah, finofek none of those are current (plus the segs) average prob 6 months old, I just did arun by hand to see if it was possible, and to me, it was, unfortunately it was on a chest that I could have made 5 of and not on a layer
