Thread: Lots of AS have quit AS on Chimaera how about your server?

Just to throw out a little theory out here.

But doesn't anyone think its odd that so many are quiting after the Devs "fixed" (seems it was bugged) the complexity formula on schematics and factory run times?. And since the "fix" resulted in things taking longer to make than before (about a 33% increase on time). I would venture to say people got fed up with it. I mean what used to take two days to make now takes three days and so on.

As a crafter myself on the Test Center (weaponsmith), I know the new manufacturing times are becoming a major incovieance to me. Things I used to run in about a couple of days are now taking 3-4 days. And I provide for sale a lot of things weaponsmiths won't provide on most live servers (grenades, Rocket Launchers, etc.).

Out of all the bugs the Devs could have fixed, why fix one that wasn't really harming the game?

There is an extreme armorsmith loss on gorath, about8 of the15 most known armorsmiths left SWG recently, but their ressources and exp-suits are still floating around of course.

Isn't that the truth. Seems like all of the new guys come in hard and fast, make armor for a month or so, and then bail.

As for factory times, I kind of enjoy the new times. I run all of my layers together (three sets of three), and it gives me an excuse not to worry about production for three or four days. I'm a couple weeks ahead of demand anyway, so it's not like I'm waiting around for factories to finish so I can restock.

on intrepid i have seen 3 smiths quitin the last couple of weeks.

one of them was a top5 smith i'd say.

so far i didnt notice a real change in thing since complexity fix and solo group nerf.

i myself started my business last week, been smith for about 1 year now, but didnt enter the grinding market so far, lol

I know it can't be the resources. Most of our best stuff has spawned in the last 3 months or so.

Lowca has an abundance of armorsmiths, especially masters.

Most of the old time masters on lowca quit just recently (guys who've been around since early launch). At least 4 that I know of, and more and more players are coming to me and telling me that their guild smith quit. I've seen my sales increase fortunately because of that fact, but I enjoyed the company of my fellow veteran masters. Most give "RL" as an excuse for leaving the game, I think they are fed up and just don't want to go out bagging on everything like 99% of the rest of the schmo's who post their "I'm leaving this <insert foul language> game".

What can ya do . . .

some have quit but others have taken their place quickly. folks selling thier 20 point suits helps alot. the problem is alot of the new guys are not public smiths but are guild only.
