Answer none of the above.

Rebel armor is purchased with FP as is ST armor although I think ST armor is droped sometimes. Mandalorian armor isnt in game for players AFAIK.

Stuff that they can make

Ubese (think what leia was wearing when she went to jabba)

Tantiel (what lando was wearing as one of jabba's guards)

Composit (think one of the BH's wore this but cant rember)

They can also make padded, chiten, malbari(sp?), and bone armor but I honestly cant rember where they showed up in the movies.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Zam Wessell in episode 2 wore red/burgendy armorweave which can be made by a novice armorsmith. All the above stated armor types were in the first trilogy and I have looked over the movies very closely to try and find the other three types but am yet to notice them in any scene out of the five films released. Might be cool to make movie themed armor in the same colors as the movie and is an idea I have been kicking around for a few weeks now. Maybe the zam wessell line or something

I have always considered Dengar to have worn Chitin armor.

Ubese armor was worn by Leia when she was acting as the Ubese bounty hunter Boussh (sp?) in Jabba's palace.

Tantel was worn by Lando while he was acting as one of Jabba's skiff gaurds named Tamtel.

The green full suit of armor seen on BH trainers is simply known as Bounty Hunter armor. Like Mandalorian armor, it currently cannot be aquired by players.

Dengar most certainly did not wear Chitin. It is instead a suit of metal plates over a cloth bodysuit:

Example images from random websites:

Unsurprisingly, it captures the Star Wars feel much better than Chitin's 'archaic' style. If it's in the movies, I cannot recall where it is. Not to say it shouldn't have been in the game at all, but when Armorsmiths only have 8 suits at most to chose from, something more in line with the series' space fantasy image would have been a better initial choice.

Thats what I thought. I find it funny how everyone does not want Mandalorian Armor in the game because it takes away from uniqueness, while everyone is running around in the same composite armor that did not even appear in any movie.

Not a cry for Mandalorian Armor, just an observation.

I kind of agree. I don't honestly know what the deal with Mandalorian armor is. I actually think Composite looks cooler than Mandalorian, though I do get tired of seeing it all the time. Heck I think Ubese looks better than Mandalorian.

I can't say for certain if Composite is in the Films or not. The only thing I can think of is one scene on Tatooine in TPM where someone is walking in the foreground in a suit of dark armor.

Interestingly enough, this extra was filmed in front of a bluescreen walking and talking to a second costumed extra, but they only added him into the final scene. So he's basically left walking in Mos Espa nodding and gesturing to himself like a crazy person. Must be on a Muon downer . Anyway, if anyone is wearing Composite is in the films, my bet would be on this guy. I'd check the DVD to confirm it before posting, but I don't have it available untill the weekend at best.

I am positive Chitin and RIS were invented by SOE during production of SWG (as seen in the early production art that litters the players guid and special game box set. Speaking of that artwork, why isn't the armor that the male Zabrak was illustrated with in the game? It looked so much like something from Star Wars, not to mention the general style of that art invokes the feeling of the sage more than the finalized game seems to. Grumble-grumble, rabble rabble...). I can't say for certain whether or not Padded was from the films.

Did I mention what kind of treasure-trove the Art of Star Wars series of books is for usable concept art? We could have 3 types of armor per line of Armorsmith if they could devote a few people to model and program in this stuff.
