Thread: Question from a BH

Do you CMs honestly believe you should be able to kill BHs 1 on 1? This is not a cheap shot or smartass remark just a question. Speaking only in PVP you are now the top dogs and I'm curious to know if you believe this is right? Used to be if I got poisoned I was going down, but I would usually take the CM down with me. Now I can barely get 1/4 or 1/8 of your Ham down before I go down and everyone else around me goes down.

Ochadd,

I think if you were to look on these boards post-patch you will see few revelling in the CM power derived from the extra 75% PvP reduction and several, including myself, urging restraint (my only foray into PvP until this is reversed will be to counteract other CMs or the groups travelling with them).

There are a few, will always be unfortunately, and the repurcussions against them once it's fixed should be rather mercilous if you ask me . IMO, there's a high correlation between those revelling in the current PvP issue along with no unemployed suicide bombers (pre-RTEF), who now have to define a new tactic since the AOE bugs that made us several times stronger in RTEF no longer exist.

But to your question, I think if you get within your range, you should and will at least get a draw on most occassions.

Its unfortunate you cannot read patch notes. Even though it appears they thought they fixed the PvsP damage today it looks like it did not. But that indicates that its a bug...because they are trying to fix it. So the fact that you had an additional 75% reduction and we did not is a BUG! Done asking for nerfs now?

Hey guys I don't know if this has been addressed but if you guys can invite trainers to come work in the town why can't you hire Spynet operatives, i mean we have BH terminals why not informants?

just wondering does anybody have any numbers on how much it actually costs to collect resources in a harvester? what i'm looking for is given a harvester with a certain collection rate, energy consumption rate, and maintinance fee, if you run it for X hours how much energy will you use, money spend on maintinance and how much will you collect?

see, i have some harvesters, but i'm trying to figure out how much they really cost me, so like what does a collection rate of 60 mean? 60 a game day, if so how long is a game day in real time? i need information like that, if you have it.

Diving headfirst into a pit of fire;

I have seen discussions on this subject in my own forums, but never seen it discussed here.

I am in the habit of offering incapacitated jedi the chance to have their bounty paid and avoid the DB, or accept the DB and the accompanying XP loss. Please notice that at this point, I have already incapped the jedi, and hold the power to DB at this point. Every jedi I have done this with has THANKED me for the chance to avoid the xp loss. I have even had groups of grinding jedi /kowtow and bow, and comment on how lucky the jedi was that I was the BH who came after them. I personally dislike the xp loss system, and seek to avoid that unnecessary (in my eyes) pain for another player, while still enjoying the game I pay for.

I see references to jedi complaining about being extorted for credits here, as well as other terms such as blackmail, etc. I wonder what you, as jedi feel about this practice.

What would you prefer here, just a DB and a /bow, or a chance to pay the bounty, and not lose xp? And more importantly, WHY do you feel that way?

Finally, please do not ask to not be hunted. Until the devs take it away, it is not an option.

When offered this way out i always say thanks and take the deathblow. Reasoning for this is simple, it's part of the game for you to hunt, and part of the game for me to die. AND EVERY jedi that is a jedi went into it knowing this....

Personally will take the death because while you may offer the choice the next Bounty may not so paying you allowed you to get your payment and me to temporarily keep my XP. I am still on the terminals and the next BH will most likely not offer the choice.

Pre-CU I actually ran and made it to a safe house and thinking about still being on the terminals said screw it and ran out and duked it out with the BH. It was a great fight and I lost was rezzed by a doc and was able to go out and regrind my XP loss with the comfort of knowing I was off the terminals. (This is bugged sometimes for some jedi who remain on them).

Then you have the BH's who do this and still deathblow. It sounds pretty rotten but who's to say it cannot be done.

Then you could still do the rotten thing indirectly. You and a fellow bud take the mission you track the mark to the location. Incap the Jedi make your offer and he pays you, you leave the scene and 2 minutes later in comes your buddy to complete the mission and now you received double of what the original Bounty was.

XP loss is part of our profession. I'll take the loss and maybe the next time I'll be the victor.

Pretty stunning replies. Have not had a single one NOT jump at the chance when incapped, or at least had a friend offer to pay for their life.
