I haven't heard anything one way or the other, but with the whole bowcaster thing and all I was wondering if wookiees had to make their own armor too.

Supposedly wookies will be able to wear the maruader armor. This is gained from doing the marauder stronghold quest. The armor is pretty much garbage, and in my opinion isn't worth the HAM costs vrs the small protection it offers. Still, it looks cool, and wouldn't be bad to have just as an option for another wookie outfit to wear.

well i hope that the armor is only craftable by wookiees

Actually the latest information from the developers is that the marauder armor thing isn't going to make it live. The developers have decided to add new type of player craftable armor to the game specifically for wookiees. It's very hard to find a good armorsmith now a days so I can't imagine that the developers would gate who can make this armor by race. However I wouldn't be too suprised if wookiee armorsmiths recieved a couple of extra experimentation points to use on this specific armor.

I would hope not.. I for one knew I wouldn't do AS because it would be Ironic to become a crafter and not be able to use my best wears cept for a PSG that breaks in 1 fight.

Im a wookie master armorsmith, and all for this idea. Yet I got no combat skills so the point is kinda mute.

The next time I get blasted by nightsisters/tuskan/marauder/garyn/binyare while out surveying with mynon-existant combat skills i'll remember that... Wookiee armor... It could possible keep me alive out looking for metals... (usually 2-3 deaths a week from dismount warping whilesurveying)

As a wookiee and a master Armorsmith... I wouldlike it to be a wookiee only thing...

That would majorly reduce the amount of available sets.. I cant imagine maybe more than 5 or so wookie armorsmiths per server? (just a figure.. If it ends up being wookie craftable only, then thats fine

I don't think I've ever seen a wookie armorsmith, so it might not be the brightest of ideas to make it wookie craftable only. So I have to say I agree with Stinky_jawa here.

I should hope that all armorsmiths can craft this new armor. As a PSG only Armorsmith, my only product will be further gimped with this change, as I sell predominatly to wookies. Anyway, my next door neighbor is a wookieAS, but I have never seen another.

Any bets on how much organics it will take. Maybe some wood? and lots of Hide/Bones?
