Deathwatch Bunker FAQ
Written by: Caile Sathinor
I’d like to state up front that this is not a walkthrough. It is not a guide intended to give away the secrets of Deathwatch Bunker. You will have to discover those on your own, however, I have included a section on tips and tricks to bring with you in the Bunker. I’ve included the most commonly asked questions to help you prepare and not reach the forges only to realize you can’t craft your coveted piece of armor or jetpack.
What is the Deathwatch Bunker?
Deathwatch Bunker is a high level content dungeon located in the northwest quadrant of the Endor Map. Deep inside are the only Armor Forges in the galaxy capable of producing Mandalorian Armor. But beware, a group of Mandalorian mercenaries known as the Deathwatch guard the forges jealously, seeking to keep out all insiders at the cost of even their lives.
How do I get into the Bunker?
The Deathwatch have invested in an elaborate security system that is designed to keep out anyone not “with them.” But a rumor persists that there is one man alive who can tell a would-be assault team how to enter, provided they wipe out the Deathwatch once and for all…because there is only one true Mandalorian.
I want to make my own Mandalorian Armor. What do I need?
Making Mandalorian Armor is a somewhat different process than making every day armor. Mandalorian Assault Armor is an art form, tailored to each individual warrior like a glove. There is no mass production of Mandalorian Armor. Each individual piece must be crafted by a master of their trade, be it a Droid Engineer making the helmet and bracers, a Tailor crafting the pants, gloves and belt, or an Armorsmith making the boots, chest plate and biceps. Each piece requires several ingredients the Deathwatch carry on themselves, just in case someone suicidal enough manages to make it in the Bunker. One is a binary liquid, used to clean and prepare each piece of the base bounty hunter armor to become Mandalorian Armor. The other is a protective liquid coating which gives Mandalorian Armor its uncannily long life and ruggedness. There is no central storage facility for these items. Each one must be taken by force from a guard that happens to be carrying it on them within the bunker.
In addition to the two liquids, a “base” piece of bounty hunter armor must be provided for the forges to shape into the final schematic. Lastly, the Deathwatch Bunker is built upon a large alum mine in a mountain. Perhaps if you spoke to the foreman Japer Witter and did him a few favors, he’d be willing to sneak you a piece of alum every few days.
Besides these Deathwatch Guards, what else can I expect to run into in the Bunker?
The Deathwatch aren’t the only people inside their Bunker. Rumor has it that they’re closely allied with the Black Sun, who’s trained assassins and guards have been hired to guard the upper levels of the Bunker. Also in their service is a number of Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids refurbished from the Trade Federation armies of the Clone Wars. And there’s always the mine rats to chew your bones clean if you manage to get past all that.
I’ve seen people flying on jetpacks! How can I get one?
Every army must have vehicles, and all vehicles need spare parts. The Deathwatch are no different. Hidden in cases, crates, bins, every container imaginable, are spare parts for jetpacks. Even the Deathwatch themselves carry spare parts around occasionally. Be careful when raiding the containers, however. They’re all rigged with alarms to awaken a Super Battle Droid guarding the containers that only the Deathwatch can bypass.
The Deathwatch hide all sorts of other things in these containers as well. Re-breathers, schematics for their custom made DE-10 pistol and Executioner’s Hack Axe, replacement barrels for their DE-10’s, even crated artwork.
Seek out the Black Sun who wander the galaxy. Some carry the base necessary to mount the jetpack. Should you be successful in obtaining three more of the parts: a Fuel Dispersion Mechanism, an Injector Tank, and a Ducted Fan from inside the Bunker, seek out the Deathwatch Overlord deep within the alum mines and “convince” him to give you the stabilizer.
Inside the Droid Engineer’s forge, you must bring a highly skilled Artisan, the jetpack pieces, and an alum mineral, to assemble your vehicle. Good luck.
Can I solo the DWB?
No, you cannot. Period, end of story. There are level 92 elite NPCs in the Bunker, regularly. From personal experience, it's taken me a group of 2 jedi, 2 docs, 3 damage dealers and a crafter to complete it post-CU. People will probably have different strategies, but that's the core of it essentially.
How hard is the DWB on a scale of 1-10?
15+. It is the single hardest dungeon in the game to complete. More than the Corvette, more than Avatar Station. The only other dungeon that comes close is Blackscale Compound on Kashyyyk. It is HARD.
Any questions I should add?

is this by chance getting rebalanced with pub 19? with avoidincap getting nerfed pretty bad with that pub, it's just gonna make the dwbeven more impossible.

I hope they don't adjust the difficulty. It's obviously still doable - I've been a part of a group that successfully made a jetpack, and I'm sure there are plenty of others. I like the idea of an 'ultimate' dungeon where only the bravest and most established players dare enter.
The one thing I hope they do change though, is drop rates. Liquids were fairly rare pre-CU (when the place was easier), but now with the much slower respawn times it's almost ridiculous.

We crafted a chestplate for me wednesday, and i still have a helmet i need to recraft. Problem is, i cant recraft the helmet because theres only like 32 colors/256, and theyre all black/white/silver-ish. And i cant craft my chest plate now because health enhancments are bugged. So i guess i just have to wait for good

Wait? You are telling me still requires the Binary Liquids and the Liquid Protective Coating that has a drop rate of 1 - 1000? Have they fixed the drop rates, do they even drop. I am a hard core DWB addict, I am the Leader of the Elite Squad of Radiant, we have crafted many Jetpacks, and would have crafted many sets of armor had it not been for the very poor drop rate other the two liquids, I havent not looted one since Nov of 2004, and we have made alot of trips, mostly testing for new strats.
Also I seen someone say something about AI and the DWB, I brought 4 Jedi and one lvl 1 Crafter down, 3 being MD's and we did not have a problem.
Crafted the last Jetpack less then 24 Hours ago.

Do the binary liquid/liquid coating drop from any guard in there or a specific type of deathwatch?
