Thread: Are your customers retarded too?
Anyway.....
Why are they buying 9 single pieces off my vendor for 60k each DESPITE all of the vendors spamming "Please check 'next page'" the armour segs that say "Please check 'next page'" right next to them, instead of buying the bagged sets for 250k. I price them this way to discourage single item buys.
I understand that they are probably getting my shop WP off the bazarre, and that's the reason I stock single items. They do a search, I get a hit and probably a sale. But for the love of all thats holy check the next fkin page!!
I understand that you think the galaxy revolves around you, and up until the point where you meet me that may in fact be true. I understand that it's "extremely important" to you for me to drop everything and make you a set of pink Marauder armour "RIGHT NOW QUICKLY CUZ I NEED IT". After you meet me however you'll be left in no doubt who it truly revolves around.
No, I won't buy back something you bought and offered back UNLESS you send me a mail explaining what went wrong. Accidental buys, found something cheaper...whatever I dont care, just let me know why you no longer want it. Simply buy then offer back and I'm going to assume you like to just waste my time, and I'm going to reject the offer. And no I won't buy back bags of 9 items, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. If you want to sell back a set offer them up individually, for a total of what the bagged set cost.
Ok I'm finished for now.
Anyone else have "special customer" moments?

I find that 1 of the biggest problems is that people seem to lzy to figure out what armor they are certed for. I had some guy send me a tell wanting rebel faction armor for a rifleman. I the made said person a suit of rebel recon. This bonehead then tells me he didnt ask for the recon armor at all. Kinda irritated me. Some people act like armorsmiths are not in game to have fun and that all we want to do is craft for them and answer stupid questions and such like we have no in game goals of our own. I say to those people if you dont want get the few armorsmiths mad that are left then have your crap in order before you place an order and if you make a wrong call on what you need at least have the decency to apologize for the mistake. Most people dont like to be told that they messed up when it was you who messed up.kinda makes them mad.
I try to answer questions as best i can and help people as much as i can but there are some people who do not think this is good enough. Dont like the service or answer you are getting then try to find an NPC armorsmith. Or request they be put in game for morons who refuse to pay attention to anything said to them.
Sorry for the rant here but i am fed up with people in general in this game and the attitude that they have for crafters. We put alot of effort into our work and do not want some1 pi55ing on our parade. WE ARE NOT HERE TO SERVE YOU LIKE SLAVES!!!! Be a little more respectful. I do apologize to any1 who I have offended with this post and i do salute all the good customers that i have had for a long time.
Ooo Ooo - while we are venting.
I make cheap grinding armor, and put it on my vendor regularly - I have been stocking an influx of Leggings, Chest Plate, and Helmets (because they decay faster it seems)... With that said...
I get this tell yesterday from a guy looking at my vendor (btw I am standing off to his right - he prolly couldnt see me):
Guy: Where are you?
Me: Who are you?
Guy: Don't you know its rude to answer a question with a question?
Me: Dont you know its rude to speak to a stranger and not introduce yourself?
Guy: Stop that.
Me: Stop what?
Guy: Stop aswers in my questions with more questions.
Me: What can I do for you?
Guy: Oh sure, now ur all nice.
Me: Well, I try. Especially hard to day it would seem.
Guy: LOL
*4 min pause or so*
Guy: Thanks.
Me: For what?
Guy: For stocking such sh*tty armor.
Me: Anything I can do to help get armor in everyone's hands.
Guy: Why don't u sell anything in packs? I need a pack.
Me: I make full suits on custom order and I always provide a Special ops pack with the order.
Guy: But I dont want a full suit.
Me: Well, if you give me a second - I'd be happy to make you a travel pack quickly - you can have it with whatever your purchase may be.
Guy: OK.
* I made a travel pack and read the emails i've received with i was crafting it - he bought all 6 of my tantel and Ubese armor helmets *
Me: Thanks for your purchase, accept the trade request and ill give you your pack.
Guy: I dont want a pack.
Me: I thought u asked for one?
Guy: No.
Me: Ok- enjoy your purchase!
* then he proceeds to walk around my house - my vendor is in my doorway * he finally leaves after about 15 min of sitting in my house *
Whats the point? The point is - it would seem people are just dumbasses lately.
Even some of the people I've made custom suits for lately have been either real jerks or real dumb. I get a lot of animosity about how the armor prices are too high on our server.
People just dont understand that collecting Endorian Wood is dangerous - so its rare. and what they really dont understand is why we have to buy some resources instead of mining them ourselves. And what I dont understand is why Extrusive ore cost 10cpu on my server - same with Gravitonic Fiberplast. I found a 97% spawn of Grav Fiberplast on Rori and I have since mined about 200k of it. Stickin it to those scoundrel resource salesmen.
Ok thats my vent about stupid people for the day.
Yeah. You get prize ones now and then. My 'best' one to date. Consists basically of some brand new player bout two months back. He'd obviously run a search for people with the master armorsmith tag. As he was not anywhere near me when I got a tell from him. I allways try to /target anyone who sends me a tell who I dont know. Often enough their pretty close by. Course first question was. "Are you an armorsmith?". Though not that well written.
Anyway what does he want? An armor 'paint kit'. I paciently explain to him that these do not exist. He insists they do because a 'friend' told him so. And goes on and on about composite armor. Now of course. We all know pre-cu you could change the colour of comp at will. Not the case with any other armor. Nor with any armor post CU. Eventually he degraded to simply spamming me. So I just tossed a report on him and up on my /ignore list he went.
I've yet to miss his buisness.
There's plenty of worthwhile customers to deal with out there that wont treat you like dirt. So dont feel bad if you /ignore or ban some jerk from your shop or what ever. Most of these folk are 12 year olds or something most of the time so it'll be years before they learn.
I go through and wipe my ignore list every 2 months... i figure thats the halflife of most of the idiots... somehow it always fills up again hmm...
Regardless, I've started taking to just going afk everywhere, i can filter email lol
I find that most people don't know how to use a vendor. I used to sell individual pieces & whole suits in packs on a single vendor and couldn't understand why people would ignore the whole suits & buy 9 individual pieces. Finally, i made a separate vendor entitled 'full suits', and of course it sold those like hot-cakes. Since backpacks are listed under the MISC tab on the item filter, i figure thats the issue. People either don't/can'tsift through several pages and don'tfind the packs, or they're simply clicking on the 'armor' filter and not seeing the packs at all.

I get a lot of questions and probably half of them have nothing to do with armor. Why this is I have no idea. But I got a tell yesterday from a smith that wanted to buy my cores. (This after I announced on the trade forums that I had perfect recon armor for sale.) I told him he could buy final armor pieces just like everyone and resell them if he wanted to but he wasn't putting his name on my cores.
Best tell I've had so far "I heard you were and armorsmith so can I have some money"
They probably buy the single items for the same reason you will not buy bagged items from them. It sounds to me like you're the retarded one if you cannot understand why people will not bagged items off of vendors from people whom they do not know.
Find a clue before you go off labeling people retarded, please.

Nothing wrong with selling cores. I sell my perfect advanced cores for 90k each. Just money in my pocket (which *MUCH* less time invested) and he will still have to buy MY cores if you wants to keep up the facade of being a good armorsmith. /shrug
LOL, im actually getting about 254cpu on the cores.... not shabby. Didnt even use my best hides on the assault and recon.... im hitting 5618 on the reconwith 735 oq/sr lok leather, and 5616 on the assault with 898 oq/sr dant wooly
