Thread: GDK scales will probably be rarer now

I was just playing around on Lok today and while I didn't fight a GDK, I did try(and the key word is try) to fight a few of the other types. Pre Publish 24 I could solo these no problem, different story now. Some types are immune to snares. They all seemed to land all sorts of states on me, including snares. They were practically shrugging off my attacks while hitting me for some hefty damage.

I kind of wish they do! Lol! If the price of RIS can be raisedto an ungodly amount, then maybe I won't get as many daily requests for a suit!

Then you wont make as much money from selling it.


One of our guilds jedi took a kimo down yesterday...he's one of our big hitters with uber saber etc and knows his profession, but had to use 95% of his force to do it....worrying.


Prices are going up already, especially for health bonus (peko feathers selling for 500k each and no +15 krayts scales seem to drop!)...so going to store what stuff I have now for future use when prices are higher I guess.

One of my guildies hunted GDKs for me this week and brought back about 20 scales to use for guild RIS armor. Pre-publishhe could handle 2 at a time with his melee template. He went back out today to get me more and barely survived a 1 on 1 encounter with a GDK.


Why in the hell must the devs push out unpopular changes? Do they enjoy angering their players? What other business can afford to totally piss off paying customers and not care?


In any case I'll still make RIS for guild members dirt cheap. But I won't take any outside orders or craft for the public at large unless they bring me all the parts on their own. I'm really tiring of this game.

Not a flame at all but IMO GDK shouldnt be soloable... and RIS shouldnt be as common as it is now... I have factories full of the parts. And suits are worth next to nothing because everyone can solo any of the mobs and basically farm them. A GDK should take a group to take down and should kill a few members.... That being said they should be a bit harder to find that at the poi every 7 mins or so and should drop at least a scale or 2 every time if not good loot or a nice stack. The group that can take them down should be rewarded.

Yeah!

About time these alleged boss mobs got hard to kill. I hope krayts and the woolamander harrower and gurk king are going the same way.

I have a lot to say about the people wanting this kind of stuff to be soloable, but i wont.

Oh I'm not complaining about it, I think it's a good thing. Loot from high level stuff just got alot more valuable. Hopefully soon RIS will be relatively rare again.

Well as someone from the I prefer to solo crowd, I'd actually say that I agree with you on this 100% My problem is with the Devs and their CL multipliersystem (whatever that means) I cant get XP without a grp, but I can't solo any mobs that grp aggro on me....... but this is getting off subject here.

I always did find it strange that I could solo rancors with no sweat when I first started back around pub 9

I really don't see what's so damn good about RIS, okay it looks cool but IMO Rebel Assault looks so much better. I mean the stats for battle is fairly even on all stats which to me means that it'sthe in between armour. Not quite Assault and not quite Recon. Don't see why people don't build a combat toon that takes advantage of assault and recon.It would be nice for everyone not to be wearing RIS.

GDK's are a tiny bit harder to solo now, but with MDef and an ok saber they were pretty easy last night. I imagine a good melee template with decent armor should still have no problem at all.

These changes in how the mobs act and fight make the game more of a challenge and less of walk in the park. Challenge makes the game more fun!

Not really actually. Basically instead of taking 4 minutes to do something, it now takes 6 to do it. Same starting point, same strategy, same results.

Just half again as long to do something.

Thats not fun, its tedious.

Your entitled to your opinion as I am mine. I think some of the npcs and creatures do take a different strategy; go fight some nighsisters or singing mtn clan and you will see what I mean.
