If the CU keeps armorsmith the way it is on TC then what will you be doing with your armorsmith? Staying faithful to the brand new armorsmith profession?..Leaving the game totally? Dropping AS and making a WS
? Maby cancel the crafting account and just focus on combat?

I personally have this account a WS/AS so Im prolly going to focus on WS(since 50% of my armorsmith resources where made useless because of the great CU) I will still craft armor for myself and guildmates but I think thats as far as it will go for me. I dont feel like starting a brand new profession when I climbed to the top after a year of resource gathering..Just to have the devs tell me "We want to give new armorsmith a chance"...I worked my butt off to seperate myself from the "average" crafter...Im already rich...So, I was not doing this to make credits(yes, I still liked having them roll in) but I was doing it more because I liked being one of the better armorsmiths on my server..A few of my repeat customers gave me compliments of how great it is that my vendors are always stocked..Or give me compliments on the quality of my products..that is what made me ENJOY this profession..Im not willing to just say" Ohh the devs have thought this out...Im sure it will be good for the game" ...No way will I ever believe SOE thinks things through...This whole game has been a crapshoot...try this..try that...test this...test that...fix this...fix that...ohh screw it lets start from square one and will will name it "The Combat Upgrade" ...what a JOKE.

Likely Dropping AS and picking up most likely BH and Ranger, but definitely staying in the game.

I don't know what I'll do.

If I stay Armorsmith it will be to make Armor for my Alt and friends. I could drop it or I could cancel. I'm as close to cancelling as I've ever come. I've been really patient with this game despite its flaws. But even I've reached my limits.

My doc/musician account has been cancelled. My AS/merchant toon will be cancelled once I get my resources and stuff sorted and sold. My main/jedi is in a holding pattern.

The worse thing is, if it was only the AS profession getting changed I could have understood somewhat, but they have taken all non-combat classes and just reduced them to glorified NPC characters, and that is something I can't stand. Even the WS have found out that there are limits to how good they can craft something regardless of how good the enhancement is, so what you find is we all can be replaced with npc vendors that sell the exact same thing with the same stats.

I'll be cancelling 3 accounts. The only thing keeping me in this game was the fantastic crafting system. I don't care about armour being uber, I don't care about making money, the only thing I cared about was the challenge of crafting great items, that people couldn't find at any old vendor. Now that pretty much every AS will be able to churn out the same quality gear, I'm outta here (assuming things stay as they are).

Canceling... 2 out of 3 done, and the only reason the last isn't, is because I'm at least staying thru the CU going live, just in case there's a last minute pardon from the jedi council...

Canceling my doc acct and armorsmith acct and keeping jedi. Wont play it, just keeping it to play planetscape since the acct is my station pass.

I want to keep smithing. If it becomes too stupid (as it appears it will), I'd like to try Bounty Hunter. I much prefer being chased as opposed to hunting down a target but you won't find me grinding jedi out. The only thing I keep thinking is, if combat is my new path, why don't I switch over to a game where combat is better?

If it goes live like it is now, I'm done with both accounts. I'll put the final touches on the decore in my structures, pay up the maintenance for 5 years or so and log out. Maybe I'll stop in during the next "hey if you haven't logged in for 6 months here's a free week".

But right now I have no desire to lay either account. I have no interest in paying 30 bucks a month to beta test SWG2 when they couldn't get SWG1 right after 2 years of paying 30 bucks a month to beta test it.

It's sad too. What was said prior to and post release about what SWG was suppossed to be and what direction it was going really had me hooked.

Now they are ripping a ton of depth and diversity, ruining professions and economies, and calling it an "upgrade". What a jip.

When somebody pisses down my back, I'm smart enough to know it's not raining.

Crafting since Publish 5. I'm holding on in hopes the Armorsmith profession gets the love it deserves. I prefer the pre-CU system, crafting and combat. I would also like to see decay and hide gathering reinstalled into the game, as well as some epic Recon, craftable of course. And make being 12 point important again.

I'm going to wait one, maaaybe two months (Two only if the first shows promise) for them to fix things fully.

If it is completely borked I may either go WS or simply quit and go play DaoC again

I'm going to stick around for a little bit since all my accounts are paid up for a few months. Then see what happens. Last night, some of my friends and stalwarts of the game announced that they might quit. In fact, one had already cancelled 3 accounts and this person liked the CU to begin with, but has become disillusioned with the combat level dmg multipliers. I'm not sure how many friends I'll have still around in the months after the CU. :-(
