I havent played around with it too much but I get it to a +7 experimentation bonus but isnt it supposed to be experimentation success rate? I havent used anything but light BE tissues on this so I am pretty sure I can get it up to 10 with Heavies. Anyone had any experience with this food? Does it add 1 experiment point if you get it above 10?

Hmm, that's an interesting question. I was under the impression that it only weighted the odds of your experimentation chances towards better successes (not guaranteeing it, just more likely). But if it's actually adding to the experimentation skill....

No, I don't think it would give you another point. It triggers on the next run experiment, so I don't see any way it could add to your pool of experimentation points. Although if someone with access to good Tat resources and medium nutrition additives could give it a try, just to be sure....

It doesnt add another skill point. I threw a crate together with the BE Nutrition stuff, got the bonus to 11 and it didnt add any experiment points. Well, unless it caps at +25 I have +20 as it stands right now.

What I think it does is that it gives a greater chance of getting a great/amazing success on the combine.

Yeah I threw a heavy in there and got it up to 11...no luck on experimentation points. Dangggit. Still is nice for making a good schematic of Vasarian.

Ok, I think I see what you're saying...

When using Port, experimenting on a food 2 blocks at a time you receive more amazing successes. When experimenting with 3 blocks at a time, you don't.

When making the Port itself, there seems to be a hard cap of +9 to it's nutrition value?

I made my first singles of it using BE additives, and noticed good results based on one factor. Making the experiment factor 2 blocks gave me amazing results per swig of BP. Going 3 blocks (which I never did unless it was in a hurried moment, and careless) I noticed great results. The only bugs I see here are in the experimenting of the BP, which I didnt see the bonus increase over +9. I was using a Medium Additive that was rated +87 to nutrient, and I had 6 experiment points left. I tried to use them and the would not increase the bonus. Since I am both MC and MBE I tried to use the (forget the name offhand) quantity enhancing additive, and that never increased. I am beginning to believe that with the advent of the barrel bug, both the experimental quality and the uses per item are conflicting in some cases.

Does anyone know yet whether this stuff actually helps experimentation?

I heard there is a food out there that does some modifier to experimentation in crafting. Someone gave me the impression that it gives you more exprimentation skill, and therefore more experimentation points when crafting items. Is this the case? Is there something out there like this, or is it just Bespin Port, which acts kinda like a Research Center bonus?

Close.

Bespin POrt does not give you more experimentation points. What it does do is give you a better chance of getting an amazing success with the points you do have.
