Hi I am really stumped on what to make my alt from my jedi.

Well first of all, I want Master architect because its really fun, but I need a proff that makes GOOD money. I would like toknow if you armorsmiths make good money. If not, tell me a craftering proff that makes better money. I am also getting master artisan and some merchant.

I've been an armorsmith for 4 months and I have to say that the money is silly.

I had a large resource stockhold to begin with, and I have probably spent around 50 mill on more resources and whatnot, it does take a LOT of time to keep my vendors stocked, keep tabs on resources, manageinventory and talk to customers - if you have the time and the money - and, most importantly,if you think it could be fun to run a business, youshould be able to make tons of cash.

it all depends on resources on your server and how easily you can get hold of the good ones myserver its really hard to find the good resources and you end up paying a fortune on it i have spent 60 million on AS and made 4 mil back its not an easy proffesion to get a foot hold in

its a case of where you sell your armour how much and how good

but if you keep trying then you will get better and get more customers you just need to have a large wad of cash in reserve and collect spawning resources by the bucket load

Yep...ive been AS a couple of months now and I pounce on every decent shift we get...an uber Kammris Iron has just shifted out now, OQ=963, SR=999, but luckily I got a few harvs on it and have managed to buy a ton....hoping to stockpile a good few million units to keep me going for life!

If you have some cash to start with then you can make a fast big return I reckon, but alternatively start off small mining your own stuff and you will get there eventually too!

Like everyone else said, unless you have a large chunk of money and a lot of time, Armorsmithing is not something you want to get into.

Same with Weaponsmith and Chef.

Shipwright is not bad. CPU-wise, it's not that lucrative, but when you're selling a single chassis for 500K, you're bound to make money.

Selling resources can also be pretty profitable and easy to do. If you know what's going to sell, you'll be even better off. For example, certain named resources are a killer to get and are rare spawns. If you know what they are on your server, you might get real lucky. Don't go after every uber-looking resource, but rather concentrate on specific named resources, like Lightsaber resources, RIS resources, certain weapon and food resources that you know every Jedi, Armorsmith, WS and Chef will eventually need. There are a million vendors selling Duralloy Steel, but it's a nightmare trying to find Chanlon Ore or Plexite Gems on my server.

If you plan on grinding your Jedi ANDdoing a crafting profession, chances are you'll just wind up tired and poor.

I make decent money, but I spent a lot of money starting up collecting a LOT of resources...so it really depends on how much cash you haev to start with.

When I started AS, I spent 20mil on resources. I've been an AS for about five months, and I've made all of it back and then a LOT some.

It is different for everyone it seems though. I know of an armorsmith who tells me he barely sells armor nor makes money with it.

Oh, and AS takes a lot of time, between factories and the uber-resource needs. If you don't have the time, then you shouldn't go AS.

Iv'e mastered weaponsmith TWICE a long time ago, and I know how long it takes to grind and how hard it is. But from the way armorsmith sounds a sounds frustrating as far as resources. But I was wondering if there is a proff that makes super good money. That is crafting, because I like to fight and craft.

Now if I wanted to make a TON of money i'd be BH again because thats like 50-60mil a week I used to make.

I am not going to start grinding my alt until I'm a full temp jedi because I don't have time for that lol.

Well, I mastered Chef and Tailor a long time ago and even mastered Architect 4 times, but that didn't mean I madedecent money.

You wanted to find out if we made money.

We do, but it's not like once you hit Master you're all set and your sales skyrocket.

It takes a lot of time and preperation and even after everything is ready, it still takes time to be able to make decent money.

If you are saying you can make 50-60M a week doing BH, then I strongly suggest you take up that template because I don't think any new crafter on any server can start raking in that much money on a brand new crafter toon.

A guildmate of mine is a smuggler grinding WS and says he pulls in a few mil a day with smuggler. Doing it this way youcan slice your own armor, plus smuggler requires a weapon profieciency so you have some combat capabilities as well.

to make money you need to do some things if you want to do it as a crafter. and it really depends how much time you want to put in.

you won't make TONS of money as a crafter unless you have TONS of time or something else really setting you in position to do that (i.e. huge stash of resources before you start and a starting spot in some hugely popular mall)

cpu wise WS and artisan are very profitable. Just making powerups can get you 10-20cpu return on your investment.

WS is super resource specific, but get your 12 point suit, get your BH feeding you loot and you can make upwards of 1m per sale. Get a system of pumping out high end weapons and you can make some credits. To do this can be very very expensive to get started, and if your 10m gun isn't selling, you have to eat the cost of the componets till it does.

BE can also rake in money cpu wise, but a master ranger can easily pull in a few mill in hides/meat in an evening

as for AS, to make a TON of money like you are saying you need to be one of two kinds of smith

super-rich AS #1

get all the resource you need to cap all your lines of armors, and all server best resources for layers. run 12+ factories (at least 12 so you can run 1k cores with 12 runs of layers) and set up shop doing factory runs of 25 or more of all types of armor. You need large stashes of all resources, and you will need to price lower than others to get started. Your wealth will be determined by how many factories you can run and how much time you want to spend running the factories.

super-rich AS #2

the specialty order smith. Specializes in R.I.S., BH armors, factional and health enhanced suits. Since you are not spending as much time running full suits in the factories, you have more time for health enhanced suits and other requests. You do not make as many suits, but your take home per suit is much higher.

neither of these roads are all that easy. You need to be in a good location and resources can quickly become an issue. To be a specialty smith, you usually have to be well known and already established, word of mouth is where the good referrals come from. Some specialty smiths will be able to sell the exact same suit of armor as the next guy at a higher price just because it is him.

sure there are other ways to become super rich, and I usually do not post in things like this, but these boards are not moving so why not? I think most smiths are either new, trying to cash in or get their newly unlocked slot keeping the cash flow positive or have just been around long enough that they have seen everything and been through everything.
