You're right. I did some checking, and turns out I can put CA:s in ubese shirts now.. but not AA:s. Weird. And they'll probably be nerfed totally later once they make broken (cond 0) items unwearable.

I have just been checking through my schematics and old stock and have the following changes to Ubese after publish 10. Some know about this already, but I am trying to clear things up.

  • All Ubese Shirts and Bandoleers are now classed as clothing not misc. armor, and thus only take CA’s (not AA’s)
  • Any Ubese Shirts and Bandoleers crafted now have got 1000 condition, and behave just like clothing.
  • Any Ubese Shirts and Bandoleers crafted before Pub. 10 have no condition, but show up as broken (red highlight) so if ever the devs feel the need to ‘fix’ clothing items so broken items are non wearable, all your old attachments will stop working.
  • Mabari Armorweve belts are still classed as armor, so still take AA’s as they always did. No condition shown in pre pub 10 crafted or ones crafted now. These are now the only non decaying items you can use AA’s with.

Padded Armor Belts are still armor too. Figures they'd miss the belts, maybe they'll hotpatch them.

Thanks for the summary. I'm going to make sure this gets sent along to the devs. I'd like to find out if this change was intentional or unintentional.

tried adding some plates to one that i had uncrated and it wouldn't let me drop so i grabbed a crate of pre-nerf ones for the same result. i even tried one of my modded shirts and it wouldn't let me drop anything. that's a really bad nerf if it stays. i dont see what they can't make condition retro so all ubese shirts in the game has hitpoints and let us finish using any sockets we may have left

This is the biggest bunch of BS I've ever heard. All of a sudden after all this time they decide to change the item from armor to clothing. They also decide to change it to have hit points.

I have spent MILLIONS on SEAs to put onto my shirt and bandolier. I have sockets left on them. I have SEA's I haven't placed yet, because I wanted to get the higher values in place. I Just got the last one, but now because I bought a AA, I can't place it onto the bandolier.

Fine, they want to remove the making of Ubese shirts and Bandoliers as armor, then remove the schematics. Leave the old ones the way they were. Introduce a replacement that is a Clothing item. DO NOT MAGICALLY turn it into something else.

Are the Dev's going to give me back the millions I just paid for an AA I can't put onto my shirt or bandolier. I bought the shirt and the bandolier as ARMOR not clothing. These are the only 2 items I put my AA's onto.

THIS needs to be fixed. Put those items back to armor and introduce new items.

Sounds like that's your own problem and not the Devs. If you're unwilling to put AAs' into ARMOR (imagine that!) then you have no one to blame but yourself for not using those attachments.

Things change in MMORPGs, if you can't handle that, move on to a different type of game, this type of game isn't for you.

why the *edit* would the devs change this ??

and for the NOOB telling to put AA's into Armor ,

The reason is simple ... armor LASTS A WEEK MAX in pvp.

The AA's COST A FORTUNE!!!!

the last 4 i bought were

pistol speed 35 ( cost 42 million )

Pistol accuracy while standing +17 (Cost 11 million )

Def VS Dizzy +15 ( Cost 25 million )

Pistol Accuracy +16 ( cost 25 million )

So you can see why this is a Real problem for people ... if I throw these into armor they last a week .... Cant wear belts ... its just absolutly not an option in PvP , I use sliced imp shiled for 55 - 62% added protection , without it id be a 3 shot kill VS stun.

I shoulda just sold the Credits on eBay for 1500 bucks ... Im with the guy that said " I SWEAR SOE IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE QUIT THIS GAME"

What other reason is there for making a huge change like this ? there's is no point all it does is disapoint allot of peole who have worked there a$$ of to get the credits for these AA's and no there next to worthless.

Devs are well aware that AA's are by far the Largest focus of the entire SWG trade universe

err that was postol speed 23 not 35 ....

Another point i ment to say was .... fine fine chaneg it ... but why take items that I already bought and wave a magic wand and turn them into sompthing else?

I bought an ARMOR SHIRT now its magically a Clothing item ?????

another usless item i might add ... who would use one when you can get a BE clothing item with +18 Vs stun etc

AA price was based on the fact you could put these AA's onto bandoliers and Ubese shirts. CA's are the cheaper version. Now the AA's are basically going to drop in price, and some be completely worthless. I have CA's on clothes, so smart guy I must now remove my clothes to wear the armor, and that's MY problem. I'm sorry I built my character and have been the same 2 professions from the beginning. I collected my credits and built the character and equipment to fit it. So either way you slice it, I have to put Millions of credits on the shelf because the Dev's decided to change the game.

Let me know when you buy the 20 Million dollar gun and find out the Dev's decided to turn it into a survival knife.

BTW, if these are considered clothing now, why are armorsmiths still making them.
