Has anyone had a problem with Giant Dune Kimo loot drops lately?
i've killed 10 in the last couple days and got 1 set of armor cores. that's it. another friend of mine went hunting with a buddy of hers and killed 20 or so and got nadda, zip, ziltch, Zero! loot drops.
just wondering. a only need 2 more scales for my RIS armor and i'm having the damnedest time

I thought they were busted earlier too, I went 10 kimos before I looted anything, but on #10 got a set of 7 scales. Then another 7 kimos, and on #17 got ANOTHER set of 7 scales. Now I'm up to 19 today, and the only thing I've looted are those sets of scales... I guess I should feel lucky!!!

you should, at least if your on my server. seems like everyone wants them and noone can get them.
whats odd though is that if i kill regular type kimos, it's like a 60% chance i'll get armor cores, and sometimes i'll get some pretty good ones.

Yeah I havent had any luck with GDK spawns or loot drops. The spanws are few and far between, and when you do find one it gives armor cores but no RIS parts. Also too I have killed about 20 gurk kings and only got one hide. But I get a bone drop from almost every woolymander I kill. Very odd indeed....

I must have killed over 40 GDKs and have looted no scales, just battle cores. Am I just getting unlucky, or is this the problem with anyone else?

It happens. I have lucky spells where i get 2 loots in maybe 4 gdk's, or dry spells like yours.

I don't know how true it is, I haven't looked into it myself, but a friend was telling me SOE was in the midst of a "loot revamp" I noticed recently that the drops on GDK scales was far less than it had been just a short while ago and many more regular kimo scales were on the drop. It's still dropping GDK scales, but in short, it's been dropping less of them for me.

I find no shortage of Kimo scale sellers on Flurry... but then again if it is very recent then I would not have noticed by now... only one I know of that drops them is the one at Kimo town...

With the amount of GDK Scales that are constantly for sale on Eclipse, I'd say you're just unlucky.

we looted 6 last night after only 4 kills...so not sure...we can't seem to find a lot of gdk's as of late though...wonder if their spawn is borked like krayt dragons

Camped the GDK spawn for 9 hours the day before yesterday and got not one GDK scale dropped. Talked to one or two others since then and they've had no luck either. I can understand dry spells, but this is starting to seem like there's more going on than meets the eye.

if you where camping the one in kimo town, you might as well move on bud. that gdk never used to drop the scales till about publish 15 or so. so i am willing to bet that he don't drop anymore. and in 9 hours of running around the volcano in southern lok, you should be able to find alot more gdk's then at kimo town. kill them, they spawn in packs of 3, but can be pulled one at a time if you time it right. hope that helps.
don't give up hope. before they fixed the drop rate, we almost seen number 400 drop with no gdk scale
