Thread: Armor Repairing
Hey all!
Im not at all an armorsmith i just kinda had a good idea so listen here~ With the (semi) New decay going around its very hard to keep a set of armor up to par, so you must repair it but that risks the chance of breaking a piece and when you spend 350k on a set of armor and the helm and right bracer breaks after half a month thats kinda well~crappy!, so my idea is give armorsmith a skill mod with better repairing of armor so it has less chance of breaking, maybe the max duribility wont go down as much~same thing for weaponsmith and weapons (aint that a pip). please feel free to comment and please reply with what you think.

We've been complaining about this for months now.
The quality of the craft tool also has no bearing on the success of repair either. You have the same chance of repair with a 99.99% rated repair kit as you do with a 1% rated repair kit.
Its funny, but I actually have a better chance of repairing weapons than I do with armor.
I've seen it's a random thing on the repair...If the armor is above 50%, you have a better chance in repairing it. But if it is 50% or lower, you'll either lose durability or kill the piece. But this isn't always true. I had a friend ask me to repair a helmet with 85% left ont he durability, and all i had to hand him back was junk. And that was with a 99%+ repair kit and being Master Armorsmith.
Also, be sure to check the armor before you accept it. I've had several people that wanted me to repair a suit that was at 0/33000. If I see that, I usually tell them to just line their bird cages with it.
