I recently aquire ten Krayt Dragon Composite Armor segments..

I was wondering..Do these work like normal composite armor Segments..? Or..?

Stats are

Base effectiveness: 10%

Integrety: 5000

No encumbrances.

I'm not an armorsmith..Just a Bounty Hunter who managed to kill a Juvinile Krayt.

Um, I didn't even know these existed. Hmmm... couldn't really say, you should find a master armorsmith to test them out.

Only one Master Armor Smith on my server..Valcyn..

He isn't exactly around on a regular basis..Had an emailed back and forth a few times..Haven't really came to a conclusion about what to do..I'd like to test them in some armor but heh..He's the one with the skill.

Unless I am mistaken... these are very good. Here's the deal. Examine them. They will have serial numbers. You need to save enough of these of similar serial numbers so that you can use them on pieces of composite. Armor made with these will save you 6to 14 on each HAM stat and will probably add 6 to 7% on each resist. So, they are VERY good. They will probably make the durability go up too.

I've found fambaa ones while soloing rogue fambaas. I've only found them on the rogues so far. First 3 I got I think could be used on any armor, they had no restrictions in the description and they had 3 mind and 3 action encumberance I believe. I gave them to an armorsmith working on ubese to test them out and they lowered the encumberance on the gloves a little bit. I later found 4 more on another rogue fambaa that said they were for padded armor specifically. They had 5% base effectiveness, I think 500 durability and a few encumberances in low teens but I forget the exact stats. I haven't used these yet to see the outcome but I'd love to get my hands on some composite plates. So far they always drop in matching plates so you get 3 or 4 of the same plate types at a time but they don't drop on every rogue fambaa.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure looted items don't have serial numbers? So would they work as identical components?

I looted 9 from a krayt tonight, they have identical serial numbers. Otherwise individual segments would be pretty pointless wouldn't they.. I'm on my way to my shop now (I'm alt tabbed out) to test them out.

wow... those segments rock =) here's a link to the screnshots of the chest from start to finish... or rather finish to start... Anyway, resources on gorath are average to above average with a few good ones in there. The fuel and ore are great, the Beryllius and Aluminum are not however, 1200ish Shock+OQ on the beyrliius and 1449 on the aluminum. But still, the best I can pull off with these materials and normal segments is around 36 on chests (37 on smaller pieces where the ratio of good components to crappy is more in favor of the good ones) I'll make legs and boots when the server comes back up. I really hope this stuff gets exceptional slices, what a waste if it gets some crappy 12% effectiveness or ham reduction hehe.

That's interresting.. So the krayt segments have no special protection (like electrical)? Can you post a pic of the krayt segments and the stats that go with them?

Yeah these sound like great items. It's a shame that we are going to have to rely on mob dropped items to makegood armor.Oh well had to happen from the makers of evercamp.

Well advanced segments are "stronger" in protection, but still offer special proection to electricity and have a lot more HAM I'm sure (since all the advanced segments I"ve made so far have much more HAM than the normal type). I don't have a screenshot of the segments righ tnow but I'll take on when I log on and post it... All it says is "krayt dragon composite armor segment" and Base effectiveness 10%, Integrity 5000... and no other stats listed.
