Thread: yeah 70% base but now a question

I have finally got the resources for 70% base comp. but I have a dilemma... I am going to run off 120 sets, but should I use kinetic or blast layers? I want the best return on the whole run, and if I use kinetic it will mean every set is good for sale, but I will miss the high end sales for 90% everything. Is I use blast I will get the 90% everything on 10% of the slices, but the encumb. slices will not be worth as much....
I would have done stun - but the base drops a point below the magic 70%....
For best ROI what should I do?

I doubt your encum sliced blast will sell at all. Go for the kinetic, it always sells.

Agreed - go with Kinetic. In 6 months of making armour I have never been asked for blast.
HOWEVER, if you have stun with 69 base you might find that not hitting the 70 does not matter. Demand for stun is going to only increase imho.

What's the point of having high base % armor if any fool with a stun weapon pwns you? The ONLY layer type you should be ever using for anyone using armor for PvP is stun.
If over half the people in PvP aren't using stun weapons, your server is full of noobs.

Not everyone PVPs.
Kinetic sells like crazy. I'd do that. Perhaps you want to make a few bagged suits of blast for variety, but focus on kinetic. Energy is also popular with the corvette kids these days. What is the stun res on your stun armor? It might be popular with PVE types even if the stun is only 20 or so if the resist is 69-70. If you are getting 35 stun or above and 69 base, I want your server's resources

Agreed - the game does not totally revolve around stun or PvP!
I am constantly finding that I can sell all my triple layered kinetic in about a minute. Yes, people run around with stun weapons, but then people run around with PSGs as well. Those who can get good stun resources do so. For my part, I dont really bother making armour unless I can make top quality.
As per the initial comment, he has a choice between blast and kinetic. Kinetic is the way to go based on that choice.
If you are fortunate enough to have the resources for stun appear then you can make some stun armour. However, if the quality of those resources is bad, then you have to deal with those customers that dont understand why the base is 60-65 when they can have higher ratings with guaranteed kinetic. People actually PvE in this game believe it or not...

Can you guys clear up some confusion for me?
Why blast layers? Shoudn't you be using electricity layers if all you want to do is push the base? Does it have anything to do with resource quality, like does blast use better gated resources?

Electrical layers use Silicastic Ore which is gated on SR around 650.

Gotcha. So any reason why blast is used in particular? Are all the resources ungated?

I would go elec if you can why not, hehe 90% all is just cool to have... or stun is best its all I make encumb sliced sells when its stun

The main reason for blast - kinetic - stun is that my best resource I have in stock is some steel.... The only copper I have sucks. I may be able to get a 70% base stun set - but it would require a slightly better Berry copper than the 800 OQ stuf I have. Every other resource I have is the best the server has ever seen.
