Thread: Things not to ask an Armorsmith as a customer
Basically, I ganked this idea off the WS forum. Feel free to add the most annoying, aggravating and irritatingly amusing questions you've gotten. Feel free to add in your most sarcastic/witty responses too.
I'll start with the most common one (that's also in my bio):
"Hi, are you an Armorsmith?"
"Last time I checked I was."
"Do you make armor?"
"I'm afraid not. I just wear the Master Armorsmith tag to make people think I'm rich and pick up hot Twi'lek dancers in the cantina."
Ironically, that's how I met my IG wife.
Can you make me some armor with your good resources?
"Can you make me some armor?"
"Sure, what kind do you want?"
"Blah Blah Blah"
"Ok, take 5 minutes, and its 300k"
"300K!! lol is dont have that kinda money, how about 50k"
How about I kill you now for being an idiot.
Sorry I have to top that...
Real conversation no joke what so ever!!!
Nub "Are you an Armorsmith still? I heard you were the best"
me "Yes I am and I try my best"
Nub " Do you stock armor?"
me "Yes there are all 3 classes stocked on the vendors" (Sent WP in an email)
"Sent you the vendor lovation in your email"
5 min. later
Nub "You still there?"
me "Yes"
Nub" Do you make armor?"
me "Yes sent you a wp with my vendor location, its clearly named **JZeus Armory** with the WP and location of how to get there"
Nub "Yes I would like to make a custom order."
me I realy dont do much custom work but what are you looking for?"
Nub "I want to order a Krayt T21"
me "Im not a WS in am ARMORsmith" (gave him names of 2 guild WS's)
5 min later
Nub "You got my T21 made yet?"
me "Not a WS I sent you the names of 2 +12 WS's that could make your T21"
Nub "Ya but you said you would do a custom order"

I remember this so well because it happend last night LOL. Its not the only one that wanted something I dont make, I remember another a couple months ago (before CU) wanted to order a BE pet ![]()
My personal favorite:
Customer: "Hi, do you make good armor?"
Me: "I try my best. I think I'm pretty good. Here's my waypoint."
Several minutes later
Customer:"Hey I'm at your vendor, and everything is total crap. Can't you make me some good armor?"

I can understand where the customer is coming from but this one still bugs me. Sometimes I get folks asking for really cheap armor to use for decoration... like I've got another storage house somewhere with crap resorces to make up some super cheap decorative armor for that once a month order.
i actually do this :/
i think of it as a service to the rich collectors and the poor noobs who just want armor
"Do these composite armor pants make my butt look big?"
okay seriously, worst dialogue evar:
"I want armor."
"What kind?"
"The kind that protects you."
"..."
"I want the best of the best of the best"
"well I have blah."
"I know so and so with better for cheaper."
"..."
"If you make it for me for free I will tell everyone and get you lots of buisness!"

"can you make me some new RIS with what I have?"
"you need me to disasseble it and make a new one?"
"yes"
"the stats will be roughly 6500 kin/energy if I use primus layers, and 99k condition"
"awesome, do it, how much will it cost?"
"I charge 500k per peice to refit"
"500k per PEICE!!!! that is outrageous!!! you don't even need a GDK scale!! why would you charge that much!!!! it is ridiculous!!!!!"
"it can take a long time for segments and cores in the factory, but the main thing reason I charge that much is due to my time?"
"your time? why do you charge so much for your time?"
"I stocked a RIS vendor for over a year, and now the entire server wants me to refit their armor, it all needs to be done by hand, and I just don't have the time to only charge 100-200k"
'whatever, I will check back later"
1 day later
"hey do you have time to refit my RIS for like 100k today?"
2 days later
"hey you still busy?"
/sigh
Spose you get the "Can you make weapons?" Question too?
Customer of Unknown Origin: "Hello."

If the pattern of events falls into place, I will then spend the next 5 minutes with CoUO attempting to figure out that they have no idea of what they want in armor, weapons, or they just got back from their own personal alien abduction.
The especially dangerous ones are the CoUO who seem to have appeared out of thin air claiming millions of credit to spend and reading from a script that was compiled from snippets of the Bria Trade Forum and passed through a l33t filter.
After 10 minutes of deciphering, you realize that they want RIS, only have Novice Marksmanship, and play a Bothan who was kidnapped by Wookiees at birth so thus entitled to fire an assault bowcaster.
