Thread: GOOD composite armor what stats should it be?

Noone I talk to can answer this question post CU. Nothing uber good that requires god knows what enhancements but a good crafted one using very good resources. Thanks a bunch. Also what can I expect to pay for something good.
I'm on Bria so plug you vendor too

The cap on unlayered is 7k kinetic/6k elementals/5k energy. You can add layers to jump the kinetic 1200 or kinetic and energy 600, but expect for the price to almost double for that. As for price...not on your server...ask on your trade for a 7k/6k/5k composite and see what people tell you.

thanks for info. is it alway in this order? kinetic/elemental/energy? I would tink it would go as listed on specs - kinetic/energy/elemental

The order is irrelevant. The cap on assault armor is:
Kinetic: 7k
Energy: 5k
Elemental: 6k
We can't experiment on anything to switch that around.

if MAS knows his stuff condition can approach 48k (mine is 47k)

Are you using the comp in melee fighting or inbetween? I see it more as a kinetic armor since I believe it caps out at 8200 kinetic with layers. Iswitch between a set of recon energy and kinetic composite although I'm sure some template won't have the ability to wear the recon or will be restricted to assault depening on your professions. The set I currently have is 8082 on kinetic but a lowly 3918 on energy. I wear a PSG for that second I need to switch to a different set when something turns out to be ranged. Guess it is going to depend on your playstyle and how much melee action your going to see. Lots of folks just go with unlayered base at 7000/5000 and call it a day.

I agree, but it's not a matter of knowing his stuff, it's a matter of whether you want to spend the best resources on it. And some armors are more difficult than others to get a high condition on, e.g. Tantel (Avian Bone).
I am quite satisified if I pass 42k on the condition for my standard stock, then I can leave the good materials to where it matters...

also getting out of the "what is good composite" mind set and getting into the "what is good assault armor?" mindset will make all the AS happy that you talk to
