Thread: Nice Mando Chest Piece

After a nice run through the DWB to get the schem and some careful crafting to make sure it was the best it could be, we produced this fine piece of Mandalorian Armor. The stats are in the pic, but it's only 85 points off the maximum energy protection for assault armor and has the full +50 health bonus.

Pretty sweet.

Congrats to: Haruko, Mileena, Sirrom, Spyder, Rinoa, Outbak, Mewanna-kilu, and my armorsmith alt, Matu.

Very nice. And sorry about that one socket. I really wish we could get some sort of fix to prevent that from happening.

tell me about it. i just crafted my mando chest and pants a couple days ago, and both came out with only 2 sockets. was just a little ticked off. i went with primus layers on mine, and got up to 7589 kinetic, 5589 energy.

What I wanna know is how freaking high do I need to get the energy on my assault cores to hit the cap? Is it even possible?

These cores were 5997 energy before the final combine. I thought for sure I would hit the cap, but I only got an extra 118 protection when I made the armor.

The diminishing returns formula seems to harsh to me. I think you should always get at least 150 additional protection from the final combine.

From my math, your energy layers were probably only around 85% on experimentation(which might have been the best possible on your server, I don't know) but that, not the cores and segments, was the reason you were still so far from the cap.

Assault armor has an unlayered cap of 7000 kinetic/5000 energy/6000 special. You get UP TO a 400 point addition on the final combine, so you only need your cores (not counting layers) at 6600 kinetic/4600 energy/5600 special to reach that cap. If you go over, you only reduce the amount of the 400 extra points you get. In your case, since you only went up 118 points, I bet your cores if you removed the layers were 6882kinetic/4882 energy/5882 special. Since you are only 118 points from the cap on the unlayered part, you are only added that much at the final combine.

THEN, they count your layers into it giving your the resists that you got.

In summary, you went a little overboard with your core and segment resources and need to improve your layer resources (if possible).

Did that make sense?

nice putting in the health on it.. it boggles my mind when people dont health mando.. but me personally i would go with either primus cores.. or primus/kin to me.. assault is just such a poor energy armor.. its not even worth trying to go for it. Its to bad too.. battle and assault should definatly had there stats swaped.. as battle is mainly melee armor (fencer, swordsmen, pike, CH, Bio) sure docs and CM's get it too but they are the ones that can skimp on the energy.. and pop on a PSG. Assault should be the most versital but ohh well.. i highly dought the devs would ever change it.. its really to bad.. hardest armor in the game to get and its crap for BH's in most situations...

92%-93% then....(it's pretty simple when the cap is 1000!).

thats a nice chestplate, and not to sound like an echo but its a shame about the sockets.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but im going down to the dwb in a couple of days to craft the guilds chestplate. We have not been to the AS room yet (primarily concentrated on helms and jetpacks) so im alittle worried about the crafter dying as i dont know the spawn points and where to position the group.

Does anyone have any advice or a usefull link at all?

Just stand back at least 35m from the rest of the group and hide behind walls.

The mobs seem to use pistols so you won't get hit if you're out of range.

Check the Game Guide forums, there area fewposts there about the DWB in general.
