Thread: Why not new Armoer quest.. instead or free armor : (
I do not see this armor cutting into the armorsmiths at all, or being unfair
how many of the Uber weapons are looted? ummm......all of them (or use uber loot)
does that cut into the WS sales? sure
is there a AS equivalent? maybe
in other words, I am saying something like this: preCU all the nice pike weapons (LVAs and VL, etc) were looted. Was there an outcry from the WS about lost pike sales? No. So why are so many people up in arms now about some armor?
I really don't at all disagree with them doing this with this armor. People payed 25 bucks to get new content in they're SWG game.. not just so they could get price gouged by armorsmiths for content they paid for. And it's battle armor.... battle armor is about the least desired armor type in the game now and for the forseeable future.. meanwhile we are left to happily price gouge away on recon and assault armor. Also this armor is not reproducable... after its done, its done... /shrug....
Be mad about CU changes to the profession, lack of content just for AS's alone... but this?Arguing about this is just silly. Maybe we ought to argue to be able to get a schematic so we can make this armor if we choose too.. while also allowing people to quest for it too. Otherwise were just taking ourselves too seriously.
Yeah but what about us AS who paid our $25? We get jack out of it really. Be nice if we coudl at least do some quest to be able to get schematics for clone armor or something.
I'm also somewhat annoyed that the clone armor is only battle. But hey it's a one shot quest. it isnt going ot break our profession.

unless you like space there's really no reason a crafter should get rotw.

I think there is a big difference between someone lucking out and looting a goodweapon, vs the rest of the population being able to go out and quest for a weapon or suit of armor that equals or is superior to what a crafter can make.
it isn't superior to what can be made, but it can be equal
it wears out, the quest can't be repeated, and once biolinked no one else can wear it
what is the problem?
no one is going to replace their current armor with this, and if they do......it just wears out quicker, and they can't get another unless they buy it
The new Clone Armor can only be gained through a one time quest. (Planetary Record Keepers are broken or at least turned off atm). I ran through Jabba's Theme Park and lost over 1000pts of condition. I forsee people using this armor for a very short time and then putting it on display or saving it for costume parties.
What would be ultra cool is if the schematic for the clone armor was released a month or two from now....
