Thread: Can i make imp armor if im reb?
Say im filthy rich and have nothing to do.
I buy imp rank, buy imp armor schems, buy reb rank, buy reb armor schems...
Can i make Rebel armor when Imp and Imp armor when reb???

you may be able to hold the schematic but i do not belive you can make anything from them. besides as a new (insert faction) you cant hold enough FP to buy all the schematics.
it sounds like he can buy as much faction as he needs, so this shouldnt be a problem
also schematics go right to your datapad, so I see no reason you wouldnt be able to (like before learn the RIS interwoven and you can craft away till uses are used up)

if you really want to spent several million each time you switch sides go right ahread. it will only double or tripple your cost.
I dont think it will if you happen to be a MS/AS. You can buy your own faction, and the schems are cheaper. I did a repec to test it, and the schems went from 1735 to the low 1300's. So even with buying a few faction ranks each time, it shouldn't be that bad.

MS get's a faction discount when buying things I know, but doesnt rank alter the prices of the schematics? It does for everything else.
I'm not sure. But while I can respec I picked up MS, and i'll test it all out and report back.
Yes, it works. I am normally rebel, but went Imperial for a few dyas to complete a few quests. I decided to get the armor schematics while I was at it. I had to pay a bit more due to the alien penalty, but I did purchase them all.
Rank only affects how much faction you can hold and the penalty you suffer when delegating to someone else. So, be sure a colonel delegates to you.
As an Imperial combatant, I was able to craft all three types of Imperial armor and the two Rebel types that I had schem uses left on without a problem.
The thing that does affect the cost of the schematics is the civil war score on the planet where you buy them. For example:
As an imperialzabrak on a planet where the score was Imperial 350ish Rebel 0, I paid 19k for each set of armor schems, or 57k faction overall. Additionally, I paid a chunk to get up to 2nd Lt. to hold all of that faction as a courtesy to the smuggler, so he would not haveto stand next to me and delegate incrementally as I bought the schematics. If I had been human, the cost would have been about 13k per suit instead.
