Thread: WOOKIEES EQUAL RIGHTS!!!
While Ill agree that IceyBlueTundra did post this in the wrong boards (it should really be over in core systems). Also used all caps (big no no). Also compared it to segregation (which really isnt that approipraite).

Glad your gone... You give us wookiee a bad name.... Good by!!!
I gotta agree.
I like the armor. Sure, its not fantastic, but it is enough to tide me over till the next 2 sets are released.

...but anyways the other 2 armors are already scheduled for release in 9.1.
I never said I didn't care. I said I was tired of wookiee bitching, especially since it's public knowledge that two additional sets are coming in about a month and a half.
With the first set pretty much being on par with chitin, one could guess then next two will be similar to ubese and comp. I swear though, if one more wookiee assclown comes on this forum to flame, I'm gonna lobby for those two new sets to be the wookiee equivalent of tantel and padded.

one thing i have stated in other posts, is making different armor types for different races. a good example is wookies.
The kashyykian armor is supose to be all natural. since thta is the case, i think wookies should also beable to wear baon, and chitin armor as well.
Leave the Composite for HUMANS only, and break the rest of the armor down accordingly. While any race that can wear the suprior armor can always wear the lesser grade armor if they want to.

Did anyone who played a wookie ever read the manual that said wookies will have no armor? Did it ever occur to them that armor might be a vital part of combat since it requires an entire crafting profession? For many armorsmiths, running their business is more than a game, it's practically running a part time job in real life. Why did people choose to play a wookie after all this information? Did they think the extra stats would make them better, or perhaps that the armorsmith profession would be broken? It was the player's own fault for choosing to play a wookie.Just as how CM and Riflemen are major combat professions, humans and zabrak are major combat races. If you want to be good, go play one of those and remember to research about game mechanics before you make another long term decision like picking a race next time.
Okay, I see this come up a lot. For starters, the game just isnt the same as it was back in beta. I remember reading the boards and seeing the best armor had like 35% resistances. Before release
eEvery single Dev stated at one time or another that armor wasnt going to be a major factor. They stated that combat would be balanced so that people who didnt wear armor would be able to use their specials more. I basically took that to mean that people with armor would lack offense, and people without armor would lack defense. And in the beginning, that's pretty much how it worked when the best armor was bone/mabari/chitin.
Let us also not forget that Wookiees were promised that their massive increase in stats (700) would be more than adequate to make up for the lack of armor. Another thing that was supposed to equalize us was the regenerative powers that are still mentioned in the online manual (which we dont have, and our secondaries are capped relatively low).
So basically the game just changed. There was no 90%base composite when I first created my character (on the day of release), doctor buffs of 2400+ that would allow composite users to not only have the best defense in the game, but allow them to use all their specials at the same time, were not in the game, and we were promised we'd be able to compete in PvP through an increase in HAM and regenerative powers. But we cant, and I have been 1 shot KOd by every single elite combat class to prove it.
Besides, there are numerous EU sources that talk about Wookiee armor, why cant we have it ingame? Is it because the one Wookiee in the movies didnt wear armor? Heck, only humans wore armor in the movies, does that mean that only humans should be the only ones to wear armor in this game?

actually if you did take the time to read the manual. you would of realized that in the manual it said wookiees could wear armor. only until recently did it say we couldnt.
