Ok item building contests etc are all fine and good, but I was wondering if you could use your super correspondent powers and find out about some of our archi issues? And I know its hard, but try and get answers that do not contain the phrase "combat rebalance"

1. What is the status of furniture colorization?

2. When can we expect to see some new structures?

3. Why cant we make anything interesting like in the rancher house on tat?

4, Can and will we ever see higher end looted factory parts? (like maybe a set of dropped mining units with a ber or 10 or something.. all other crafting classes have somethign like this..)

5. What is the chance of getting our factories down to 1 land plot (and if no chance what is the reasoning behind keeping it at 2?)

6. Every other class has had how the combat rebalance will affect them listed in part somewhere.. how (if at all) will this rebalance effect architect?

Can you please get us some answers? I for one am getting a little irritated.... And i mean no disrespect but what I (and i think all of us) are looking for here is some actualy quotes from a dev on this. Not just you or another archie saying "well this is in the works yadda yadda". Get one of them to respond. and if they dont respond, badger the crap out of them till they do. Lets start moving forward a bit instead of stagnating.

calm down boys... a LOT of people aren't getting answers. none of us have "super correspondent powers"... all of us have submitted post after post, but we don't always get replies. I get stuff like this on my forum a lot too, but understand that no communication doesn't mean your correspondent isn't doing his job.

remember, corrs don't get paid... so grilling us won't help. if you're really concern, start telling those SOE folks to listen to us, eh

I understand if we're low priority. I understand if we don't get anything for a while.

Can we at least be told such?

We were told over 5 months ago that the "ball is rolling" for furniture colorization and we've had a poll up on it ever since. 2 weeks ago I asked for a status, and we have no answer. WE deserve something from SOE.

WE won't shoot the messenger, but we'd like to know what the message is even if its "no answer".

Actually if you read the post it is not meant to be a flame of our correspondant. Its a request for him to get some answers and start playing a little more hardball with development. We as archis are one of theonly professions that really have NOTHING to do with combat or the GCW. So when development keeps saying "ooo ooo wait for the CB" we have to kinda scratch our collective heads and say "Um why?"

DVNCE I'm not saying you dont do a good job. All i and the rest of us want are some answers from the powers that be. And unfortunately you are our mouthpiece so t'speak. They gave ya this position and if you go to the matt for us, we will back you. Please press the issue, regardless if it means stepping on some toes etc. We're tired of being man handled by development and we would like you to start pushing back.

Enough of this BS, the house builders want answers.

Its all good.. I understand your frustration..I share a bit of it too... I dont take you doing this as an attack against me...I take it as you just wanting to know.... and that is ok...

I have just done a thread that kinda does touch on a lot of this info.. I actually do Bug the devs for our issues quite a bit.. when I get to the Combat Summit I wonder at times if they will want to shake my hand or strangle me Lol (joke i know I wont get strangled)

Honestly I think that SOE needs to take the gamble and invest more money into their resources... They are investing more into their communication systems which is good.... Its about time..and should have been done long ago.. but at least it is being done now... SOE needs more in the dev department too though.. I dont believe it should be a year for a profession to get some "love".

THe ball is rolling and I think at a pace that will be more pleasing to more people.. but what is hard is that we that have been here have the last year of the ball not moving.. going backwards.. etc etc .. in our minds..

Like I said before we need to try to let that go and look ahead I am getting all indications that we will be happy with what is coming.... we just need to give SOE room to actually improve the communication systems..

And As for the Design Contest.... We have quite the community in our forum there is never any out of control griping .. the flaming is low.. and that is great... but as a community we need to stand together and this Design Contest is one thing that will be fun and creative... another common interaction for our group.... and will be another tool to strengthen our bond with our Fellow Archeticts.. Plus.. the more the devs come look into our forum the higher the chance they will see something we want them to see... and .. Hey Go check what this person did on this design contest is an easy way to get the Devs to come take a peek at our forum...

FYI.. I just posted another Thread Basically saying.. we are not expecting every red name to stop what they are doing and soley focus on us.. but we are expecting the curtisy of at least some answers for now...

Dvnce,

Honestly speaking do you think we should expect direct answers from the DEVs that you can share any time soon?

Just want our expectations to be realistic. I'd hate for people here to see that you've said you're asking then get upset when an answer doesn't come.

Thanks for continuing to press our issues with them. I know you are totally dependant on the responses you get from SOE on this stuff.

Ok, did I miss something or did Dvnce completely not answer the question that started this thread? Anwering our questions in more vague terms really does us no good.

GRRRRRRR!!!!

Thank you Lithium and IE for the early "send!"

Anyway, I've been asking for some time now when the 19 questions were going to resume. Although, given the type of answers we got last time, I don't have a lot of hope. Personally, I bet the Correspondents are being told "wait until the summit at the end of the month" Ha.

I only started playing a couple of months ago, so I'm not in any hurry to get fed up and storm off, but I do view the type of answers being given lately with alarm. SOE(the SWG end of it) sounds like an organization in crisis, but not crisis mode. It's still in denial. It doesn't know where it's going and has no idea how to get there.

Contrast this with the people over at EQ who responded to the crisis with a crisis mode, agreeing to make significant changes to the future releases. Current changes aren't on the scale of what we're seeing discussed in SWG, but then the fundamental game isn't as broken in EQ as it is in SWG.

SWG's staff needs to revamp their operations from the top down, and the bean counters need to be told to BACK OFF so JTL can be properly developed, and not released half-a$$, They need to admit they've screwed up, get over it, and start communicating again.

Instead we're getting no contact whatsoever, other than "oh by the way, we're removing recursive macros, so schedule your carpal tunnel syndrome surger y now."

Not a good sign. I hope the 95 page thread over in the Dev Tracker forum woke them up.

His answer is that he doesn't have answers from the DEVs. But he has asked before and will ask again.

We can't expect him to deliver answers if the DEVs don't give him answers to deliver.
