Thread: A thought.

Just a thought... but...

CH's can now give creatures up to CL 15 to people.

Low CL pets usually are small and don't hit hard.

Large CL pets are usually larger but hit harder. Large enough to ride around on, in many cases........maybe that's why? Maybe they're ramping up for the ridable mounts and CH's are the key? Maybe you gotta tame and train a critter to be able to use it to ride around?

I was just reading a thread on the corbantis board about land. People were putting down harvesters in the middle of a PA's "land", got me to thinking, what if they devs put a blank planet in, either now, or when Player Citys come in, no resources on the planet, and maybe even free shuttle tickets, or something, that way you could put your house here, and have a flat place to organize your houses, unless they put in some sort of landscaping when player cities come along, this is the only option I can think of that would allow any sort of organization.

Just my 2 credits, anyone think its a good idea?

I was personally thinking, that when you place a house for instance, you could increase the maintenance and pay for so many meters around the house. I hate when I come out of my house only to find some moron has decided my porch has the best chemical or copper or something. It would be limited how many meters around the house dependant upon its size. Say small houses 100 m, mediums 500m, Larges 750m, and a Hall 1500. (Maybe thats going to extreme).

The more thats purchased in land, the higher the maintenance goes, till it costs thousands a day to keep your neat little plot, claimjumper free. Now, if a machines already exists on the land, your just stuck with it till the owner removes it in a shift or something. While maybe limiting more on the houses and giving the PA's alot of range, so the members could move houses in easily before everyone in the neighborhood decided to get in the way, would be a nice idea. Its got alot of holes in it, butthe planets are big, and I'd be willing to walk to the corner of the world just to keep a nice plot for myself. However this offers a bad thing, people hording rarer minerals by sitting on them and selling them high, but thats how the gold rushes went. You do what you have to do.

Also in reference to the above, all the planets should be buildable on, so as to stretch the population out more so. But then again, its all in the hands of the Devs. I just came up with this though when I walked out of my house a couple weeks back and was surrounded. I prayed for the shift, just so I could move away from the mess. Smoking harvesters everywhere, and working ones right off my porch. I could reach out the window and pay its maintenance it was so close.

Just additions to the original thoughts.

I am not a jedi. I am one of many who had hunted for holocrons for weeks straight to receive nothing and is now mastering all the professions until we get our precious. But anyhow.....

I've read all the posts of how jedi don't like the player jedi bounty system. I think it is a bit odd how a jedi does not have the ability to know he is being hunted. I think there should be something like a message that goes across the screen like "You've felt a disturbance in the force. You feel you're being watched." when either a bounty hunter accepts the mission to hunt you or the bounty hunter who has accepted the mission to hunt you is within a 1000 raidus of you. Thus, letting you actually feel like you're using the force to help you with the role of hiding. I may be wrong about this, but it's now 3:30'ish in the morning and I have only one eye open, and that eye is only hafl open at that.

Just the thoughts of a Jedi Wannabe.

Must've been a bad idea to receive no replies.

I dont think Qui-Gon felt Maul hunting him, but that may be because the dark side clouds EEEVERYTHHIIING.

Anyway, I think it might be a good idea, but to keep those jedi rare, the devs will never put it in.

Plus as soon as you got the message about being hunted, you'd log out, wait 24 hours and the mission would fail.

Whilethe majority of Master Artisans (who posted on the topic) said they didn't want to customize vehicle color,Image Designers enjoy customizingimages in person It's really all we do, if wecould sell kits we may as well be replaced by NPC's.

Since master artisans can construct kits to sell to customise vehicles, why not have Image Designer be able to craft kits to sell to allow customers to change their own appearance? This would give the ID a nice source of income. Maybe have like a makeup kit to change facial features, barber set to change hairstyle, etc?

It's probably been suggested before, but i'm bored at work and it was just a thought.

Ok, if you were interested enough to open this, I'm sure you're capable of reading and comprehending it. Since I don't like the idea of pasting this thread on every forum, I thought I'd just hit the one place where everybody trolls, the Jedi forum. This thought has to do solely with people who argue that Jedi is the be-all-end-all profession, and essentially the only content worth experiencing. The people, also, who don't think anyone can beat a Jedi in a fight. Please concentrtate here and grasp this...

There are PSGs that can even be sliced to cancel the Lightsaber vulnerability on armor and give a little protection. There is food to increase HAM, evasive skills, combat skils, DPS, and even decrease damage taken. Other professions do have a lot to offer against Jedi. My personal favorite is Pikeman. To those who say there is nothing worth playin besidees Jedi and have Jedi as their only goal in this game, I challenge you to prove yourself wrong. You may be suprised how much you might enjoy the game.

Well I agree with you. Besides, Jedi is not what everyone thinks its cracked up to be. Its no Uber, its not overpowered, you have lousy defence, you're hunted all the time, you get massive XP loss upon death and like many other professions its broken. I've personally spent 8 months trying to get a jedi, when I finally got it done, I couldn't have been more disappointed. I enjoyed playing my Pikeman more than my jedi. Of all the afore mentioned problems with jedi the worse for me is the solo thing. Being forced to hunt and play the game alone is what made me shelf my jedi. I have two other alts that I play. Jedi in my opinion is just not worth the time and effort it takes to get there. When people ask me about jedi...my advice to them is " Don't bother, you'll be disappointed" nuff said.

I enjoyed this game thoroughly as a non-jedi, it was always my goal to get jedi and i finaly have. I had fun mastering all hte profs, pvping(even with tef wars), and just hanging. This game is fun without jedi, but i'm a jedi and loving ever bit of it.
