So your point is Jedi isn't the end of the line or the ultima ratio in the evolution chain ?

Well, the reason I wanted one was because if I play, I want to develop, to level. You can master pretty much everything in a couple of days. And then ? Selling food, armor, weapons for 1 year, 2 years,... and make billions of imaginery money ? Or killing the same monsters at the same places over and over again for what ? Loot ?

I knew Jedi isn't uber (and I don't care as I don't do pvp). And yet I wanted one. I knew I wouldn't be unique. But I am the typical gamer. I need a goal. You beat the final boss, and the adventure is over, game goes back to the rack.

So if I am to kill thousands of MOBs over months, I want something in return. Some visible sign I did this kind of self-torture (aka grind) apart from worthless (in the sense of: everyone can get 100 mio credits) money. So Jedi is the way to go for me.

Who knows what comes after. Maybe JtL, maybe a normal prof again for a change. But right now, I want to have the hardest thing to have: a Jedi. For the challenge. For my ego.
Why do I want to climb this mountain ? Because it is there.

Who cares. It would at the very least be amusing to run around like a everyone else game using our best "special" without thinking there goes 1-3k credits.

I was thinking right, and I came to the conclusion that I think the rocket launcher should be an equipable weapon rather than used like grenades. My reasoning is a it's a fairly hefty weapon. and going on the assumption that the multiple charges mean it is reloadable it's not the sort of thing that you can just whip out and blat something with.

This was just a thought that I had, reply how you wish.

That's a great idea! It's also one that has been mentioned to the devs before. Basically, the actual rocket launcher would not be expendable but the ammo would be. There would be different types of ammo as well.


Last I remember, Garvin mentioned this idea at the Correspondant Summit, and evidently the devs liked the idea. I think the idea is pretty solid and makes sense.
