To craft these, does experimentation rely on Architect or Artisan points? I have heard they rely on Artisan, but i would like to make sure.

Artisan skill for the the optional subcomponents
Architect skill for the final assembly

That is incorrect. If you are both a master artisan and master architect then you wouldn't see a difference in thenumber of skill points cause you'll have 10 in each.
If you have differing experiment points in architect and artisan then you can see the difference.
Crafting stations use artisan points for the final assembly.

Wrong. Was that you that one starred him you twit?
It's absolutely artisan experimentation. I was making 40+ stations using 10 experimentation points as a novice architect.

Are you talking pre or post some of the crafting changes they made earlier this year?
Prior, it was all artisan, but at some point, and I'd have to look up to find a dev post, the final assembly was switched to architect. Of course, I've been MArt and MArch since I first got them way back at the beginning. Just trying to help.

No. They did not switch it to architect experimentation. Crafting stations use artisan experimentation points.
I've got 11 points of architect experimentation and 11 points of artisan experimentation. When I'm wearing my architect clothes I only have 10 points to use on a crafting station but if I put on the artisan clothes then I've got 11 points.
I just double checked this. So I say it with absolute certainty.

I can confirm Pawlins posting.
I am a +12 Master Architect and a +11 Master Artisan and when making stations I only ever get 11 points to experiment on.

Well, I do learn something new every day. 
I've been both MA's since way back when I first got them after the game started. I guess I need to get my head out of my mall more often

That was the most helpful argument i have seen in a long time.
Thanks again for the help guys.
I am just about done collecting artisan exp and got all the assembly already, so i will get back on this post and tell you how things went.

I have 12 Architect Points and 7 Artisan.
When I made a crafting station to test. I only got the 7 points.

When you say Architect Experimentation, you do mean structure experimentation correct ? And what for example uses this experimentation ?
